These lyrics actually fit a cowboy song perfectly. I never noticed that before.

they really do🤘🏽 Show me how to lie, you're getting better all the time And turning all against the one is an art that's hard to teach Another clever word sets off an unsuspecting herd And as you step back into line, a mob jumps to their feet Now dance, fucker, dance, man, he never had a chance And no one even knew it was really only you And now you steal away Take him out today Nice work you did You're gonna go far, kid With a thousand lies and a good disguise Hit 'em right between the eyes Hit 'em right between the eyes When you walk away, nothing more to say See the lightning in your eyes See 'em running for their lives Slowly out of line, and drifting closer in your sight So play it out, I'm wide awake, it's a scene about me There's something in your way and now someone is gonna pay And if you can't get what you want, well, it's all because of me Now dance, fucker, dance, man, I never had a chance And no one even knew, it was really only you And now you'll lead the way Show the light of day Nice work you did You're gonna go far, kid Trust deceived With a thousand lies and a good disguise Hit 'em right between the eyes Hit 'em right between the eyes When you walk away, nothing more to say See the lightning in your eyes See 'em running for their lives Now dance, fucker, dance, he never had a chance And no one even knew, it was really only you So dance, fucker, dance, I never had a chance It was really only you With a thousand lies and a good disguise Hit 'em right between the eyes Hit 'em right between the eyes When you walk away, nothing more to say See the lightning in your eyes See 'em running for their lives Clever alibis, Lord of the Flies Hit 'em right between the eyes Hit 'em right between the eyes When you walk away, nothing more to say See the lightning in your eyes See 'em running for their lives

Spaghetti Bros for the Spghetti Westerns.... When was the last time they even mentioned the Spaghetti Bros? I think we need a dark synth, dark hoods and all "Spaghetti Illuminatti" cover of something. Maybe Arlo Guthrie's "This land is your land" - but with all the verses. PLEASE!

The lyrics kinda read of as like a western outlaw like Billy the kid in the process of robbing another business. *"Show me how to lie, you're getting better all the time* *And turning all against the one is an art that's hard to teach"* The narrator is an older outlaw which is impressed by Billy the kid who is quickly outpacing his own skill. Their craft is lies and deception. *"Another clever word sets off an unsuspecting herd* *And as you step back into line, a mob jumps to their feet"* Rather abruptly, they have gotten to their destination and fooling another victim out of their money, however it's not going their way as a mob forms. *"Now dance, fucker, dance, man, he never had a chance* *And no one even knew it was really only you"* Billy the kid draws out his gun to an unsuspecting crowd, they have no choice but to surrender. They had no clue that it was the kid which they should have been looking out for. *"And now you steal away* *Take him out today"* They get to business robbing the estate, they take out a someone who tries to be a hero. *"Nice work you did* *You're gonna go far, kid"* Praises are given round to Billy, they'd likely all be dead without him. "You're gonna go far kid" could be taken sarcastically, as their line of work often leads to a early grave. *"With a thousand lies and a good disguise* *Hit 'em right between the eyes* *Hit 'em right between the eyes* *When you walk away, nothing more to say* *See the lightning in your eyes* *See 'em running for their lives"* More general description of an outlaw, the process of turning men into cowards by waving guns in their faces. *"Slowly out of line, and drifting closer in your sight* *So play it out, I'm wide awake, it's a scene about me* *There's something in your way and now someone is gonna pay* *And if you can't get what you want, well, it's all because of me"* The narrator has been working with Billy the Kid for quite some time now and they have been pretty well off, however there is no honor among thieves. He's posturing himself to pull a fast on on Billy the kid, giving Billy an ultimatum "There's something in your way [me] and now someone's gonna pay [you]" "And if you can't get what you want, well, it's all because of me" (The narrator can't help but smile as he says this, he's gonna be a rich man soon, like taking candy from a baby) *"Now dance, fucker, dance, man, I never had a chance* *And no one even knew, it was really only you* *And now you'll lead the way* *Show the light of day* *Nice work you did* *You're gonna go far, kid* *Trust deceived"* However the narrator is too late, Billy had the same thing in mind. Billy robs his friend blind, the narrator is in shock and awe, he got played like a fiddle. To this day he sings tales on how he was bested by Billy the kid. *"Clever alibis, Lord of the Flies"* Another nickname. Man of many faces, leaves not a trace of the scene other than the fallen devoured by flies. Of course "lord of the flies" is also a reference to a name of a book which is likely inspiration for the song.
Now I will have to run a steampunk Wild West RPG campaign. Thanks for the inspiration.

Still could...
The slower piano version at the end feels like something that would play during a sad death or something after the full song was played during a kickass part of a movie
That final pass on the banjo was **chef's kiss**
30 years of being an Offspring fan, and this is probably one of the best covers I've ever heard. Well done!
This is perfect just On so many levels. Like a bandit burned down the protagonists home and the protagonists mentor figure [who died in the fire] is singing over the fleeing protagonist. Then the Protagonist grows up into a Texas Ranger and tracks down the Bandit, now the head of a large gang. [The Protagonist not getting what they want is the spirit of their mentor stopping them from destroying themselves in the process]
I don't know why this popped up in my suggested feed but holy crap I'm glad I did. This cover is AWESOME.

This song works really well in this western style, especially when the chorus kicks in and with the harmonies. Great work!!
That mandolin solo... Literally sent shivers down my spine,
This sounds like the song was supposed to be in this style, it's great.
Two covers in one, happy saloon version and sad piano version
damn that ending with donators is impactful ngl! very tender/intimiate/cute/cozy. makes me feel vulnerable like a little kid again watching childrens programs on television

I love both Comments, but the S.O.A.D B.Y.O.B (I love saying that.) Cover by the Bros stole me heart.
This has just become one of my favourite of yours! 😍 It was worth it to open the door between dimensions and call a couple of Bros from another universe to record this! 😁
This cover has become one of my favorite earworms.
It's interesting how even without a deep understanding of the style being emulated, I can still tell the writing of the song is anachronistic with the instrumentation. It's almost like how you can tell what decade a song was from if you've listened to enough music from that decade.
I found the best song to troll my friends when we have our next D&D campaign. Gonna play this in the background as they chill in the tavern.
You have no idea how happy I am that you chose to make a cover of this song, Melodicka Bros style! I'm not even like... It's not because I'm a heavy fan of the original band Or have some special, deep backstory behind why this excites me... ...It's more like when you're in class or something And they announce that instead of Pizza or sandwiches, They're going to serve your favorite food Which might be Pho or Ramen... That's what it feels like to me; Discovering Melodicka Bros have covered something that i WANT to listen to now, Something that makes me heart rush with happiness And click so fast 😂😂 And doing it in this Saloon style was PERFECT! Again not because I'm a fan of the Western genre, But because A) That is so on-point for Melodicka Bros B) That suits this song really, really well!!! So! My day just got more awesome, Thanks guys 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I will make sure my offspring hear this someday
Damn, takes me back. The Offspring used to be my favourite band back in the day. And from 2012 to probably around 2016 I considered this song to be my favourite song. Great cover, it really fits this style.
I'm going to love anything involving that bass, but even aside from that bias, this is a wonderful arrangement! Great energy and attitude, interesting musical details, and your usual instinctively authentic sound.
I never even considered the offspring with banjo. Didn't know I needed this. Thank you.
Dang, I've always liked this song, and this is an impressive cover. Even with the very different instrumentation, it still just feels right.
If i ever take up any form of cowboy dancing, this will be part od the playlist.
I love everything about this.
I love how the outro is so soulful.
I've never heard of you guys before, I've never listened to any of your stuff. But I do listen to the original song enough that apparently KZread's algorithms thought I might like this. KZread's algorithms were right, holy crap. I love this, thank you!
This is one of my all-time favorite songs, I love your version.
Guys, you just did it again! This is a really great cover, I'm sure that The Offspring will be so delighted if they get to see/hear this!!
Seriously just a cool fun cover. I love it
Love this combo of Saloon and Nightcore-fitting song
Took me way too long to realize the unusual number of bros
Oh yeah, that's a huge flavor win for sure
I have never heard this band before this but I am an Offspring fan and I am super impressed with this cover. This is absolutely phenomenal.
That was just magnificent. As a song, and band, that had one hell of an impact on my teen years, hearing a cover done so fucking well is a true delight.
Amazing. Simple joy from this commenter.
one of my favorite things is cross genre covers and this hits me in ALL the right places, so well done!! thank you youtube recommendeds!
Finally New and Fresh Country from a fresh Perspective, Oorah 💥👍💯‼️ Finally A Western Tune 💥💯‼️
This is an amazing rendition of the song but I remain ABSOLUTELY FLOORED by that slow piano piece at the end. You've shown a remarkable talent for how changing the tone of a song gives it new life throughout all your works and that slow piano piece at the end could make an outstanding additional take.
Man, your reinterpretations of popular songs absolute rock. I am a fan of yours for years, it's always lovely to see you rocking old bangers in new ways! This is fantastic :)
everything they do is just perfect
You know, it's rare that KZread hits me with a completely random suggestion that's actually really good. But this was one of those times. Really good cover! Never thought about anyone putting this song in a western style, but it worked out well.
Best 3 man 5 man band you can get
Damn, this is probably the best version of this song I've heard
I... i was not prepared for this amount of beauty. This is so amazing!
Damn this fits like a glove.

Well that's a great one, hat's off to all the team.

Holy wow, major Offspring fan, and I can say, you made that your OWN version and not just a cover, phenomenal effort and end product!
I think this is one of my favorite tracks you guys have ever done.

This was so good!

absolutely loved this cover, also the piano at the end was a nice touch too

Love the song, love the outfit. (A man who can rock a hat in this decade is a handsome lad.)
Absolutely adore this!
You guys truly never miss!
Pretty sure Dexter from the band would love this cover! Also sharing the prevailing opinion that this song & the lyrics work astoundingly well in this genre. Could imagine merle haggard or waylon jennings in their heyday
I dig it. Just released and I had to listen to it twice in a row. Definitely putting it on my spotify lists when I can.
