You could always do something that would remind your gf ab your guys's first date or something significant. For example, for my (at the time) gf's birthday I gave her some Photo Booth pictures of us and some tickets for the same carnival we went to together. Or if you dont know anything like that you could always give her a small box of things that reminds you of her and her favourite things. Such as a brand of chocolate, a hoodie etc.
