IKEA's colors are blue and yellow because of the swedish flag, they wanted to make it obvious that their items are not very expensive so people from different social layers can afford those.

Ikea's colors are yellow and blue because they are the colors of the Swedish flag. And if that's not why, then its a pretty cool coincidence. lol

Meatballs with brown sauce and lingonberrys is Swedish comfort food. So good. I just got home from Ikea myself. Looks exactly like it does back home in Sweden. I think that all Swedes who feel homesick go to Ikea to feel like home.

Bryan, that Festive Drink is actually Julemust which translates to Christmas Soda. You can only buy it in November, December and January I think. We have them in Norway too!! And it's pretty good..,

Wal-mart or baby-r-us has these great straps you guys should invest in. they are meant for a sippy cup but i use them for toys too!. The have velcro on both ends and one goes straps to the stroller, high chair, shopping cart. the other end can go around a toy or a cup. they have saved me many times on losing something or cleaning something for hitting the floor.

"Julmust" is like That you drink in Sweden at christmas.. I totaly LOOOOOVE it!!

That kitchen in Ikea that you showed we bought pretty much the same one but in Australia :) we lived in Ikea last year and those Swedish meatballs..yeh they were pretty good!

Here in Belgium (I bet in other countries too) a traditional food is meatballs with a cherry sauce. It's delicious

my daughter has a favorite blanket she calls it her "Dede" it is actually her brothers old blanket and it is blue with rubber duckies on it. She is 4 1/2 and has been attached to it since she was about 1 or 2!

To get him to always want the same blanket always use the same blanket and they tend to want that all my kids had a fave and still do but I wish I would of bought more than one you guys are great parents !!!!!!

The red thing with the meatballs and the mashed potatoes is called lingonsylt=lingonberry jam. And julmust tastes really good Missy you should try it! And Ollie is just so cute!

Out of complete curiosity, is Ollie's 'Wildly cute' Moose outfit from the Hatley store? It reminds me so much of this little store that was started in the area where I'm from (Eastern townships, Quebec) and I just looked online to find out that they have expanded their company a ton!

LOL seeing you in IKEA gives me the feeling that you are here in Sweden! So conclusion; IKEAs in the world looks alike; except the cinnamon rolls!!

I hated building my ikea couch, it took me an hour to do!! It was so freaking heavy, being a single mum and not having a guy to help or hold a baby makes things a million time more difficult.
