CSGO initially was an Xbox 360 port of CS Source but due to divided fanbase of CSS and 1.6, Valve decided to released it as a brand new game.

the japanese schoolgirl model was used in counter strike condition zero deleted scenes which was a cancelled singleplayer campaign for counter strike condition zero that was later released as its own thing its actually alright you just play as a bunch of different special forces including the japanese kidotai which is a riot police unit

So, crouching with the left trigger is actually not as stupid as it looks. CS:GO also had this in it's default controller profile. In a game where crouching can help you gain accuracy and it being something you need to do often, putting it here is actually a reasonable proposition. It's different, sure, but it works surprisingly well in practice. Putting "scoping-in" on B though... I have no defense for that.

This was one of the few games I had for my OG Xbox as a kid so I had the honor of playing this online back in the day and man was it great. This was my introduction to Counter Strike and I still have my copy to this day 👍

it is cliche boring. one of the most linear gameplay with scripted sequence. gearbox had a different less generic approach to it but valve didnt like it so they left @Taistelupelto420

I think this is the greatest improvement from "1" to "2" ever

I hope you're not serious. I'd say CS 1.5 is the actual Counter Strike 1. 1.6 was when Valve ported it to Steam i think? Someone let me know. But that update brought visual downgrades to the game if i recall correctly.

@@damsen978 I wasn't really being serious, but even then, I think you missed my point. Even if 1.6 is "just counter strike" and being the original "1", that's still quite the glow-up from CS1 to CS2.

The real Source 2 engine we were waiting for.

Its really nice to see good old iNutt up and running again, good videos too.

Weapon wheel and the 180 quick turn I thought were great additions the console version added. I had a lot of fun with this back in the day. Always remember how everyone camped and sniped outside on the Miami map lol. Pretty much no auto aim too. Lots of strafing to line up shots.

I remember playing the shit out of this back in the day, started playing on the hardest difficulty and playing 1v5, so if u just putt your mind to it u can do it with controller

I started playing cs on the orange box, on the ps3. Its how i feel in love with tactical games. But it was always so amusing as a kid for pistol rounds to just be a clusterfuck of people who cant shoot eachother.

I heard that at one point this was the most popular game on xbox live, until Halo 2 came out the next year.

This game was actually pretty damn huge on the OG Xbox and at the time it was extremely fun to play!! Very difficult to master, but very satisfying when you played successfully.

Bruh, didn't even know I'd clicked on an iNoToRiOuS until a min in.

This was my first entry into CS back in the day and it was REALLY fun and populated practically all the time until the 360 game out. If I wasn't playing Halo 2 online, I was usually playing this. I Loved this game like no other and it's my second favorite CS after Source.

Only from playing this did I discover that CSGO was a thing and I’ve since put 6k hours into it. This was my first taste of counter strike. I Was 5 years old gaming on my dad's Xbox lol. Brings back memories. I even went as an Xbox to my kindergarten Halloween party lol

What a trip down memory lane. I used to play this every day. It was my gateway into CS. I loved the Xbox exclusive map Miami, even if it was a cluster f of a map. Believe it or not this game was actually pretty active for OG Xbox standards. Ended up making several friends through this game that I would play with for 10+ years.

This was actually my first exposure to Counter Strike as a kid. Got a full team wipe my first game!! I hid behind a door… 😅

This is how I got into counterstrike my friend had it on his Xbox originally and we used to play coop against eachother with bots it was a great time.

I saw the cover and my first thought was "Wait... Is that not well known?"

counter strike 1 was friends we made along the way...

You have to hold the controller in a pretty awkward manner to bhop on console, it's usually better to just bhop in a straight line.

4:50 ish the crouch button is probably left trigger to make crouch jumping easier on console. it was like that or super similar for the console half-life port because that game required you to be able to crouch jump in multiple areas.
