I call the parts that die cuts come out of "carrier sheets" ... the dots of the Is and Js are actually called "tittles" and the bits that fall out ofthe other letters, such as As and Es, are referred to as "pips" ... at least that is my understanding. Love the foiling technique you use - its so easy that even a little kid can do it.

When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought you bought the chippies already distress-foiled. Amazing job on those, it looks SO good!! You have such attention to detail, and all these details turn every album into a work of art. I'm loving how this is coming together! I also think the gold foiling would look amazing with the Prima Midnight Garden paper and the Darcelle paper. I bought a pad and some 12x12s of both collections and have been saving them. But seriously the foiling accents you do on this album would be great with so many other collections too.

@@jenofevedesigns Hi Jennifer, I just had a thought when remembering the albums that you bound with the coptic stitch. Could an album as large as the Basically Amazing use the same binding? I've only done the coptic stitch once, on the Southern Charm album. I'm trying to think how to build pages like the Basically Amazing but have them attached in a way to allow for stitch binding. Would that be in the fins do you think? I was thinking that rather than printing and gluing the fins normally, maybe cut them down to double strips, fold in half and stitch them after attaching all the pages. But my concerns are not leaving enough room for pictures and embellishments (I imagine trying to sew the pages when full would be hard with inserts and tags sliding out), or the fins being too thin to stitch and support the weight and bulk of all those pages too. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it's possible with such a big album? Maybe doing only 1 or 2 pages per fin rather than 4 or more?

@@carried9130 Or you could just use the Basically Amazing Scrap Journal add on templates. Have you seen those? It has a stitched binding and an Elastic binding method included.
