The DM3 isn't that hard. I've been using it much. It can haul very heavy loads (E.g. 1300T out of the steel mill at the extreme) for a fraction of the cost of other locos.

Fair point, but the getting used to it curve is steep. Atleast for me after running it for like 5 or 10 minutes :D I just need more practice first! :)

@@whydoieven For the gearing I only take 4 things into account. 1. Keep between 450-800rpm (top torque is between 500 and 700 rpm). Skipping gears is usually recommended, specially when not in load. 2. Gearing, I remember the relative ratios as a class (between Low Medium and High). Like this: Left..Right M.....H |........| M.....L 3. Gearing, I keep priority like this: when possible increase gear in priority of L M H and decrease the immediately below Given those, gear sequence (which you can skip as appropriate): 1-1 1-2 (increase L) 2-1 (increase M decrease L (L is immediately below M)) 2-2 3-1 3-2 2-3 (Increase H decrease M (M is immediately below H)) 3-3 I don't know the sequence but I just keep some basic knowledge and the rest is just inferred from that. When Empty, I usually just do 1-3 2-3 3-3. You don't need to remember this but here's some extra tips: I never use the engine brake when empty or hauling less than 300T. The engine brake is near-useless in those situations. The independent brake does way more than necessary with that. For starters, I recommend hauling about 400-500T and then increase from there. After you get the hang of it, you'll be able to haul 900T of Steel bars from the Steel Mill to the Harbor in heavy rain. Here's how I did 1300T from SM to HB: kzread.info/dash/bejne/o5NnxaOdfLfgado.html

The Caboose isn't useful right now, it's made for long distance travels. It will only be useful when Altfuture finally adds a second map (with a loading screen) or even track maintenance that might be accessible within the Career Manager. P.S. That isn't a dock for charging the flashlight, that's the signal booster for the remote control.

After testing i did see that the flashlight did get charged there, if its overlap from the remote charger or if its on its own i'm not sure. But it works though :D The caboose is perfect for long trains though, yes its true that its for long hauls. But hey the signal booster is worth it for the extra money :)

can you assign controls to use with analog levers and switches or no? Thanx ☕☕

You can, but it could be a bit tedious. I'm not quite sure on how to do it as its not possible on a regular controller to hold the switches. Havent really tried any other to be honest but i imagine that it should be possible! :)
