My grandfather father was a great traditional man, was high titled chief and great native doctor, we still have a houses like this, his chambers and his 7 wives chamber and his big shrine.. I always enjoy going around every time we visit the village and we missed him alot.. Died at the age of 112yrs.. Rip grandpa

@IFAKOREDE Jesus Christ says that without HIM no one shall see God. Christ also says that give unto caesar what is caesar's. Therefore Jesus Christ Does not Ordained any shrine. Neither does Jesus Christ brainwashed anybody . Jesus says come to me as you are. Christ Does not reject anybody.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful place
Thanks for this, it's beautiful.
That's a very interesting and historical place. Nigeria is very beautiful. Jamaica is beautiful, but Nigeria is far more ancient and filled with mysteries. That's the land of some of our forefathers. At a certain times I feel like some strong force is pulling to Nigeria. I don't know why this happens to me at a certain time. I know that we have a lot people with Nigerian names in my community, which means that some of our ancestors were Nigerians. I think my paternal ancestors were Nigerians.
You guys are doing a great Job 👍 Kudos 👏

Amazing
This is very interesting and informative. The surprise that there is growth of vegetation 3,000 ft should not be a surprise. There tree line can be as high as 9,000 ft. I went to the top of Pikes Peak 14,000 ft above sea level and the tree line ( vegetation) stopped at 9,000 ft
Wow. This building with the statues 14:40 -16:20 is an interesting historical site. The people from that part of Nigeria should be really proud of it and continue to look after it. They could clear away those empty soft drink bottles and that beer bottle 15:16 - 16:00 and they could put up a rope-barrier to prevent people from getting too close and touching everything and leaving their trash behind. Thank you for sharing this.

Wow!😍 Those carvings take incredible skill! I suspect the roof is not original to that structure. I think those mounds of grass may be a burial of an important person there, it would be nice to know more, but of course this precious history must also be protected. Thank for the great content! Ase!

My home town IDANRE makanre
That's my Town Idanre
This's idanre, My mom place, its really true ❤ there're some places there where they cannot even take you to as an Stanger, all of those things are stl active except the school.. for the matter for fact there's a place there where both adult and child your size their leg but if you have Witch or if your Hands not clean it will reject you..😊
This is my town idanre
Idanre hills no be beans, na suffer to climb and it’s not even that high, I remember when I was in Ondo state and made an erroneous decision to climb it, because you reach a certain point and you can’t turn back on yourself you have to keep going to find the less steep exit
God bless you Sir. This is a very risky job but God shall preserve you in Jesus name amen

In the old days, instead of iron roofing, they would have had thatched roofing, right? I can picture how it would have looked - except for the colours and patterns they would have used to decorate the outside walls etc.

@jacquelene, your comment got me... Did you read comments from those that came from the village? Some of the youth natives fled to the city because city is beautiful physically and economically. But you said this place is beautiful. What an irony!!!! Then what is beauty then?
Wat abt the footed print I wish to visit the place one more time I swear cos I must witness the footed print
Have climb dis mountain it wasn't easy
How was ur leg the second day?
All the name’s written on the wall is written by people who visited there cos I also visited the place nd I also write my name there too
I can tell you that School was for princesses and princes of that time. No commoners 'd step near it 😉😉 Which materials were used for construction?? Nowadays buildings 3yrs without renovation the walls re down 👌
good video, but these places should be properly preserved.

@@wowneche many things do happen there till this moment, there's two big snakes there but white people came to steal one years ago, alot of rituals has been done there with my two eyes..the remaining snake there can enter little pot but when it comes out to feed hmmm it will be very big that u won't believe that kind of snake can enter pot. There no one can pass around the rock in the midnight or 12pm.. I don't really know how to explain this here but I have alot to say about the rock and is still active 😰
