TLDR. The Fragment only functions under very specific circumstances, which are not mentioned in the fragments description. The fragment is more of a downside than anything because there are many ways where it could stop working for you, even when you're useing it properly. Don't use it until it is patched.

Well actually that isn't quite true. It does work with the amplified aspect on hunter. Furthermore, when I use my rat king build it works. It's not like you shouldn't use it but you should test how it intereacts. This is really annoying but meh

For the Watlock buddy build I use feed the void aspect so I’m getting devour on every buddy kill. So my loop works perfect. Consume arc grenade, get a kill get devour then drop my solar buddy and my phoenix dive comes back as advertised. I don’t have this problem he talks about. Also my recovery is 23 and my phoenix dive still is there when I need it.

@@Sol_1nvictus5813 yes, if you are actively making sure you have devour up at all times the bug should not effect you. which it sounds like you are unintentionally doing it correctly

Sounds like something bungie will need to fix.

Not really? Because just mean ur not using ur ability, I have constant up time on all my buff, soooo use ur mele ability more often especially ones that apply buff

@@sleightlyabnormal9313 But it doesn't workproperly if you apply buffs to yourself in the wrong order, if allies grant you a buff that overwrite yours or if you reach 4 different ones from different sources. That doesn't seem intentional, so it should be fixed.

This was fantastic, I was literally testing this out yesterday and comparing different buff types. You went beyond that though, thanks for the information on order of buff application and number of buffs before it disabled the fragment!

so thats why on my warlock i dont feel it, at all, but on my hunter since i only ever have woven mail or radiant, it works like a charm i have another thing possible to test which i have had a feeling about: i have noticed the increased ability regen when the only buff i had was Facet of Command, maybe it considers that an elemental buff too? making the 4+ buffs shutting it down even more of a detriment

Without this video I would've never known that I'm getting no benefit from this, thanks!

Kinda glad it works like this, before I realised how it actually worked I never took this fragment off. Even when I wanted to replace it with fragments that could make the build better. I finally replaced it and realised the regen was almost the exact same 😅

Man, thank you so much for that deepdive. I buildcraft often and test things, but this goes way beyond! I have a free slot now for something 😁 Plz... continue this.. you will grow fast. I got Microcosm last night und wanted to craft a build to push it. I saw some things not mentioned before by other YT Channels. For example: no damage falloff! And that the targets you killed go down in the colour/element of your equiped super. Maybe there is a way to take advantage of it. Yeah. There are so many silly syngeries (which i love) and problems in this game, that you have enough content for the future 🙌 Another example i realised yesterday by testing: on Titan, the Aspect "Knockout", which turns the uncharged melee to arc powered counts as "ability" to proc the Heart of inmost Light. So you can keep ability regen 2x easy 100% up, even when your real abilities are on cooldown... but... the arc powered melee doesn't count as "powered melee" to proc unraveling rounds on the facet from prismatic.... It would be absolutly awesome, when you make this kind of videos for .... EVERYTHING 😂 in the game.

Huh. I thought I'd noticed inconsistencies on warlock using the double buddy build. That's kinda annoying. Guess I'll swap to something else until this gets fixed. Thanks for the heads up.

The real TLDR is; this Fragment is DEFINITELY broken, so don’t use it for now and report it to Bungie. It’s not powerful enough to warrant how hard it is to use, so it’s definitely a bug. Hopefully they fix this soon.

Negative, I tested this without the piece with facet of purpose and a arc super (when collecting an orb of power you get an elemental buff) also on hunter and it still didn’t work

Can you figure out how inmost light works on the class item, I feel like it doesn’t work sometimes on my warlock

If it doesnt work you can see it on your screen that the buff is missing. Bungie said on the help page that you have to switch your ability real quick which resets it and then works properly.

But does the buff work with just devour? In my build I don't get amplify. I feel like it is faster with devour

Doesn't sound like it's any more specific than any other fragment. Doesn't sound broken either. Buff applied, use your class ability, Regen increases. It's a triggered ability rather than a static ability.

@@kiibro I 6000% did, bud. It seems to be functioning as intended. Most likely, the wording is slightly off, though it does work just fine on my Hunter when I activate Ascension.

Nah bungie notorious for not fixing things that actually hurt us (this). Instead focus on things that are beneficial to us and kill that first (facet of command). If we're lucky well get this looked at in act 2.

I also feel the fragment that gives grenade and melee based on light or dark also is bugged or buggy. That or incredibly weak

People,so many of the aspect give free elemental buff, use them. Facet of purpose litreally pick up an orb. The new seasonal mod give radiant for picking up an mod, use them walk over mode u will get them, in most situation u should always have a buff

Why is this oddly specific and non stackable, I thought it'll be worth since class ability have nice synergy with other abilities, 1.6x doesn't make much difference and achievable with some armor mods.

So titans with abeyant leap should be fine

Sorry to shut you down, but unless the fragment has broken in the last two days, this just isn’t true. Get those acts of arson ready lol. One of my most used builds so far is prismatic Hunter with the new chest piece and ascension, and my class ability almost always recharges fully before the initial amplified buff runs out. (Running 50 mobility at base btw, with amplified giving it that extra 50 I think). So amplified definitely procs it and I’m not sure why you are seeing what you’re seeing

Either you have other buffs like radiant or an overshield, or the reason you’re getting your class ability back has nothing to do with the fragment. Amplified lasts 15 seconds. Your 50 mobility + amplified = 100 mob. Marksman dodge cd at 100 mobility is about 16 seconds. So if you’re making a single ionic trace, you’d get your dodge back before amplified runs out. If the fragment was working, you should be able to get your dodge back in closer to 12 seconds without killing any enemies or picking anything up. Just test your build somewhere where you aren’t killing enemies and I promise you’ll get these results.

I run gamblers dodge which is an 18 second cooldown at Max mobility (which if you can do simple math, is longer than 15 seconds) and I was in a jumping puzzle doing this. No enemies killed. I had another charge by the time amplified ran out. Maybe you should do some testing yourself
