Definately one of the top 3 episodes from the series for me. Asain parents pull up the emotional manipulation card as per their convenience and then blame the kids when they stop giving into the bs and walk away lol. Props to Sam for finally choosing herself because ignoring yourself ultimately leads to resentment. Thank you for the video. See you next week ✌️

In regards to the unicorn outfit. I personally feel like it was symbolic. There is actually quite alot of forshadowing and symbolism in this series. In this case, you see Mon show up outside Sam's house twice. The first is the one with the unicorn dress representing innocence, and the second is after talking to the friends. She learns from the friends about Sam's upbringing and all the pain Sam had to deal with. When she comes back the second time, you see her wearing more mature clothes. Which I think symbolizes the loss of innocence as it appears she was protected from learning about Sam's past and she now she is no longer innocent.

the part where mon said she's giving up and u saying "just like that?" it wasn't really easy for her cuz it was jailtime for them 🤡 and in the longterm it doesn't really work out well, that's why when she said "it hurts me more" just the thought of her being married to someone else is just oof 😩 sam was rushed to pick herself and neung kind of projected herself/years of resentment into sam, so she literally have to chose between the ones she luv the most the other one just happens to be a toxic, manipulative and ungrateful asian granny 💀
