Detective Holloway (guest star Jenny Mollen) continues to entrust Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) to watch over her young son at the firehouse while she testifies in court as part of an undercover operation. When the situation takes an unexpected turn, Severide is left to deal with the aftermath. Casey (Jesse Spencer) receives a suspicious package in the mail that casts suspicion on him from the Board of Ethics. Meanwhile, Brett (Kara Killmer) discovers Otis (Yuri Sardarov) isn't taking care of his own important issues and confronts him, but finds he is stubborn and more interested in rallying the troops to organize a trip to Las Vegas for the annual firefighting conference.

First rule when the plane is going down, you put the mask on before you help someone else. Its the same in any situation. You have to ensure YOU are safe and able to safely protect those in need. You're no help to anyone if you're also in danger or worse dead. Cruz needed telling, otherwise how else do you grow and learn form your mistakes? Absolutely freakin LOVE this show and the entire One Chicago/Law & Order universe. The 3 Chicagos are probably my favourite of all favourites... and i watch alot of good tv lol!!! 🚒🚓🚑

no, it put the man at greater risk. As Severide said, if Cruz had stayed on the line they would have been out in 2 minutes. because he left the line it took them 4 minutes to get out. 2 extra minutes in the smoke for the victim. staying on the rope would have saved the man anyway. ditching the rope meant putting the man and the other fire fighters in greater danger
