You’ll Never Read Psalm 23 The Same After Watching This Video!

Psalm 23 is the most famous and most quoted Psalm ever. Even unbelievers know the phrase "yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil." It's read at funerals and even little kids learn it in Sunday school. But, what does this Psalm really mean and how can we truly apply it to our daily lives in a practical way? This video will break down Psalm 23 in a way that you will never forget.

It's explained wrong and not biblical Psalm 23 isnt about david. Its about Jesus Psalm 23 is about Jesus and not a motivational speech John 5:39 (KJV) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. 25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. 29 ¶ Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 34 ¶ For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool. 36 ¶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. 25 ¶ Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 ¶ And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30 ¶ And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 ¶ And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, 34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. 35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. Other Appearances (John 20:19-23; Acts 1:3-5; 1 Cor. 15:5 ) 36 ¶ And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40 ¶ And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? 42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43 And he took it, and did eat before them. 44 ¶ And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 ¶ And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: What the bible says isnt what you are saying. The Lord is coming, the season is now! Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! New channel here, I’d appreciate any kind of support. Don’t give up! God loves you so much! So do I. The Lord bless you!!

Psalm 23 is very special to me because the same morning that I came to the true knowledge of G-d this was the scripture G-d put in my Spirit especially the part when it says He restores my Soul because I was a sheep let away by my transgressions. G-d in-print in my heart righteousness one letter at a time in my sleep. That was 5 years ago and my life haven’t been the same from that day 10/28/17. It’s a must for me from time to time in to say this psalm along with psalm 34.

But its not according to the bible. The explanation never mentioned once Jesus. The Bible is about jesus The Old Testament shows us the spirit of Jesus. When you read the psalms see Jesus in them. We were not the ones in the bible or our sufferings or a prophets sufferings that are declared in the bible. Its all Jesus. But dint believe my words believe Jesus's own words. John 5:39 (KJV) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Luke 24: 25 ¶ Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 32 ¶ And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 44 ¶ And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 ¶ And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day Acts 2: 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 22 ¶ Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. Acts 28:23 (KJV) And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into [his] lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and [out of] the prophets, from morning till evening. Now read psalm 23 or any psalm and hear what Jesus felt

Thanks Brother Allen. I loved how you broke this down. I knew a little boy who thought the 23rd Psalm said "The Lord is my shepherd, which I don't want. He maketh me to lie down on green pastors, and leadeth me to seal waters, he steals my soul..." This child wasn't trying to be rude or funny. He just heard adults at church quote it, and misunderstood.

When you understand the meaning of these verses it’s like fuel to a burning fire. The history behind it, the references used, the allegory in it. What a beautiful Psalm David wrote to praise the Lord. It means more now that I know better.
