I will say that even though I'm actually ranked lower than I used to be after all those ranked tweaks they did a while back. My decision making has gotten better and continues to improve as time goes on and I credit that to content like this, it was kind of like a wakeup call I didn't know I needed. Now if only some of the people I run into in ranked had a self reflective wake up call then maybe we'd all be having a more fun time out there lol

reflection is hard, you have to be willing to learn and a lot of people aren't. Even pros reflect and improve.

1) good to have you back 2) as much as breaks are bad for how much you lose in terms of instinct and muscle memory I find you get it back quick and somehow you actually improve from distance from what you were doing before 3) I hate how the big circle on the bandit reticle tricks players into thinking they're getting hit regged/blanks. I know it does happen in any online shooter but just not as much as ppl think

I had a guy the other day yelling in chat “WE NEED TO SPLIT UP” in strongholds when we were 2-1 in control. He also kept running to the uncontrolled point and spawning the enemy team behind us. I was like “dude, splitting up is the OPPOSITE of what we should do, and only push the open point if they’re 3-4 dead!” He did it again and another guy joined me. Bad teammate then quit and gave us our CSR back, thankfully. We were winning until he started going solo constantly.

There's no in-between with diamond players. Almost always over rotating and pooping on spawns or not moving or doing any damage/getting involved. It's like 85% of every game I play. People either moving too much and just need to STOP and hold a position. Or people not knowing when they need to actually move. That's partly what makes Halo good though....you have to have situational/timing awareness minute by minute of the game.

I think I was like a Plat 2 when I did the CSR Showdown...it was fun.

“Misreading the battlefield”, I like that description. Thats the biggest problem with Solo Q and not turning your mic on. Your all using your own different interpretations of the battlefield and none of those interpretations are being communicated which means it’s unrealistic to think that everyone is going to ever make it onto the same page to be able to work together. Moral of the story is, turn your mics on to unify all 4 interpretations into something cohesive. Win or lose, no matter how much you wanna blame your teammates, it’s always a team effort.

i try to have my mic on or ping whenever i can, there are so many variables in solo queue. the important thing is to remember you can only control yourself

It's great to see you back. It's pretty normal to be a little off after 4 months as well, so don't be too hard on yourself. Good luck this season, and I'm excited for more content. Also, what software do you use to capture your gameplay?

I record the screen using OBS and then review using VodonPro (both are free)! I do play on PC. I'm just my own worst critic, fastest way to improve and its kind of fun to go on that journey with you guys. I feel rusty and I'm d6 so hopefully we can hit 1600 potentially this season. I did manage to keep onyx for each seasion while I didn't do content but I did the last season on the week it came out and then went cold!

Don't know about you but I can only hear my footsteps and guns. I cannot hear footsteps until they are literally right behind me and it's too late. I have compressed mode on, I'm wondering if there's a .txt file or something I can edit to fix it?

@VanadamYT PC. And I use a Phillips Headset and VoiceMeeter. I've tried it with VM off, but there's no difference.

The dead shots are terrible on this new network model. Anytime i shoot someone with a sniper, if they are jiggle peaking or just happen to dip behind cover right after i shoot them it just wont count which is beyond infuriating. The other day i was playing a custom game on interference with a friend just exploring the map, and there was a point where he wasnt moving, we were relatively close, and i shot him just messing around and it didnt do any damage. I was aiming center of mass, i shot again and AGAIN it did ZERO damage, and hes not even moving and my reticle was perfect center of mass. Didnt even move my reticle and shot a THIRD time and that time it hit. Ive been playing less and less since the network update. At this point i could care less about trying to get better at a game that doest work properly.

Yea, i came back to the game after hearing the network update and seeing the bandit gameplay. But i just cant with how bad the hit detection is. In particular for me before this most recent update it felt fine but i played a few days after the rank reset and i was dying non stop, completely incapable of winning a 1v1 and going negative almost every game when i was rolling a 1.4kdr doing okay for myself. I wish they could just fic the game because its still a great game in concept. The bandit change in ranked and comp imo was a great choice, the bandit feels amazing when it works and as a BR fanboy im shocked as to how much better and more fun the bandit is vs the BR.

The best thing to do when playing without comms is to simply do as much damage as possible, anyone that’s ever asked me how to get better is to just shoot more.

halo infinite is the worst in the history of halo bring back halo 3 n the rank system

Trueskill 1 was much worse than Trueskill 2, you could be rank locked very often on high game accounts
