I know dehya doesn’t work with beidou I don’t know what I was cooking hehe. I even talked about how she doesn’t work with her at another point in the vidoe lol Also ningguang shatters so don’t use her in freeze haha Also the reason I chose ningguang is specifically BECAUSE I don’t have a huge wealth of knowledge about her kit. I wanted to have the experience of building a team without looking at a guide, without having played them extensively myself to sort of put myself in the new players shoes :) definitely check out the comments for extra ningguang tips and look out for my ningguang guide when I learn more about her and she’s on banner~

From a very dedicated Ningguang player: - She synergizes OK with Gorou, just because Gorou gives Geo DMG. Though, it's mid. To be a real strong partner, C6 is needed. - Though being a 5* Albedo is really strong partner - Fischl has great synergy, because she provides constant damage. - Yelan is OK because of ramping damage, Xingqiu is not recommended. Playing Ningguang with only autos is generally detrimental. - playing Ningguang only autos feels even worse than Wanderer full autos. Both should be played with including charged attacks in her combos - For Hyperbloom, she actually doesn't steal any reaction

Btw you shouldn’t really be making guides on characters you don’t know. That’s how misinformation gets spread and it leads to a lot of people not playing to their max potential/not being able to clear content. If you look at other guide videos like zyox, they do research and play with the characters they make videos on and even have theory crafters calculate how good a specific artifact set or weapon would be on a character. Also Raiden yelan bennett kazuha is basically just national team without xingqiu and it’s definitely something that’s played a lot. Not as unusual as you seem to think it is in the video.

*Shatter Ningguang* is a thing - *totally meme* but a thing: Full EM Archaic Petra, Off-Field Hydro (Yelan, Xingqiu), Off-Field Cryo (Burst Ganyu, Rosaria, Swirl)... big numbers and tanky AF. Aaaanyway~

The conclusion is you can make any character playable as long as you have an op off- field/support😅

I wouldn’t say they have to be “OP” but decently built does help a lot. There’s many people that can 36* the abyss with only 4*’s that aren’t “meta”. As a player from 1.0, it’s very important to build supports than have amazing 5* DPS’s and bad supports.

Yea, I like the basic set up, and thought process. And it's always good to know what more obscure characters you can fill in that 4th flex slot for hyperbloom. Like, I get it, off fielders are always strong and an option, but seriously there's too much "top 10 used" characters in this video.

Well, they're "OP" for a reason - bc they can flexibly gigabuff nearly any on-field damage dealer.

Most people focus too much on "meta" that they don't think about many characters and team comps that they can try and have fun with

Ikr. I only play the characters I enjoy, rather than focusing on "meta teams." I can count on one hand how many times I've used a meta team, and I didn't even do it purposely (they just so happened to fit what I needed element wise, and were characters I enjoy using)

Probably due to the dps check for the Abyss, so most players especially on f2p investment level (C0 5-stars) need to be optimal when building the teams. In the openworld however, we are more free to use our favorite characters or fun combinations regardless of lower dps output since there's no dps check (or at least no time limit most of the times).

@verzetta3798 Most players have been in the game for years now and should have enough investment into their characters (new characters excluded) to clear Abyss with any of their built characters. For example, I haven't needed to use Bennett in the Abyss for a long time now to clear it (since before 3.0), even as a F2P. Despite the fact I've seen sooo many F2P players saying you NEED Bennett to clear it, you really don't if you have a full understanding of the game's combat mechanics with enough skill to match it. After 3 years, players should know enough to be able to win without "optimal" teams (meta), but I think lots of F2P use it as an excuse for why they're unsuccessful or having trouble ("I don't have ___," "I need _____ to beat this").

@@shamelblack4559 Yes, f2p with 2-3 years of playing shouldn't have the excuse, but there are f2p players who are only around for under 1 year.. A 1-2 month old player shouldn't expect to full star the Abyss, but 6 month to 1 year player has a chance. And to make up for the not optimal artifacts quality compared to 2-3 year players, they kinda need to optimize for meta teams. For the clarification just in case, this is specifically talking about those who want to full star the Abyss however, and of course no one should feel forced to do it if they are not interested.

I like this format! The fact that you go in genuinely not knowing the best use of the kits is an asset for this kind of video, because that's exactly how any player experimenting will be.

Meanwhile me using all 4 slots for non-meta characters:

I thought Beidou burst proc only needs you to hit the opponent with normal or charged attacks regardless whether they deals damage or not? Just clarifying. And yeah Dehya won't work with her is because Dehya's attacks during burst is considered burst damage, similar to Raiden-Beidou synergy issue.

@@verzetta Nope, for Beidou, her Burst trigger requires the active character to actually do NA or CA _damage._ That's distinction is also why it won't work on shields.

Special thanks for showcasing Ningguang, the first character I liked in this game. The second one was Yanfei, and the third was and remains Yelan.

I like to build teams according to regions. When I travel Mondstadt I use Mondstadters, when in Liyue then Liyue chara, Inazuman in Inazuma, Summerians in Sumeru, and in Fontaine for now I just use Yelan-Baizhu-Eula with Lynette as I have only her from Fontainers x) as for abyss, same - according to bosses regions I use region teams changing language too for each region~ (hope that Arabic or Indian voice-over will be added so I can change it in SUmeru too. French voice-over will be nice too for Fontaine.. >

Thats how I play since day 1. I cleared Abyss 36 Stars with faruzan main dps with Jean C4. Its so much fun its helarious.

DPS Faruzan at C6 can solo the abyss. I'm rebuilding her with the Golden Troupe (ER/Atk/Crit) since her off-field damage is actually significant at C6.

I had a friend who never even read the skill descriptions...just copy paste from some YT or website, not having a clue what is she actually doing and how the characters actually work Copy the rotations they told her without a question...is that how people have fun? I don’t get it The best part is understanding the character, what they can do, what would work for them and how they can be used...then try it out People are always stressed out about materials and proper resin use..if you use your resin, then you did it properly, there’s no rush, you will be just farming artifacts to no end when you get there, they game won’t dissapear if you farm a bit more materials than you needed or if you build up a character you no longer use, it stays on your account and can be used later in some fun team if you try it out I have so many weird teams i put together, not one of them is meta and i can 36 Abyss with not that much effort I don’t use Bennett, XQ, XL or Kazuha This game allows such customization and people use 4 characters over and over again because they are "meta"

We definately need more guides on this. I'm so tired of being convinced I need to use meta teams. Like right now(newer account) my main team has Fischl and Xiangling, and I don't like the play style of either one. I also have Yelan, who I MUST use because she's amazing and I love her to death. Yet, there aren't many guides on using her as a main. I think this video is what I needed to make myself just use the characters I want, more than using the characters people say I should use.

Well, yelan as a main dps can be really cool, the only thing missing would be a good pyro application outsides of xiangling (there isn't any off field in the game). So i can recommend a good yelan dps team (f2p) based on hydro+electro reaction: I would still play fischl, when i started i too kinda disliked her but the thing is she doesn't need to spend time on field (=more time for yelan) is easy to build and add a ton of damage for such short time, and i would pair them up with beidou, that gives a good shield and a very strong ulti to power up yelan's hit even more. The last character is a flex spot, either an anemo grouper (sucrose/kazuha/venti) or a healer (yaoyao for dendro reaction, kuki if you want more electro to free up another space) or xingqiu for the extra hydro damage and small heal and hydro resonance for yelan. Should be a really cool team and i can promise you'll have fun with it at any point in the game from mondstadt to spiral abyss.

@@brexcubo6766 Good stuff! Yeah, I’m lacking a decent Anemo character, for one. I have Wanderer, Traveler….no Venti, Kaz or Surcrose. Still no Beidou or Kuki yet, I want them both to mess around with. I do have Yaoyao, maybe I’ll play around with her. Right now I’m using Yelan with Kokomi, Fisch and Xiang. It works, but I don’t like the two i mentioned very much, and Kokomi I rarely even switch to unless I need that healing(seems a waste, being I don’t need heals that urgently very often). Maybe I’ll take her out and see what Yaoyao does in that mix. Appreciate the feedback!

This helps a lot, I was really struggling with how to use Alhaitham because I don't have nahida or any of the other traditional dendro supports (kuki, xingqiu, etc.) It also helped with Tighnari lol. I slapped him on a team with Fischl, Lisa, and Yaoyao (to be replaced with baizhu, i suck at playing yaoyao lmao), and I've recently acquired a Kokomi that makes my Freeze Team work, even if I don't enjoy her small circle. It's good to know how to build teams when you don't have many units! Now, I have to figure out Hypercarry C0 Mika 😈

Overload works best against heavy and/or big enemies, like ruin machines, lawachurls, Kairagis, that sorts of stuffs. And I'm glad you can fight the temptation to say "just add Bennett and Kazuha to everything" 😂

Like I always say about games like this: "There is no bad unit, just a unit you don't know how to use yet."

The first two years of Genshin I played with Ningguang as my main DPS, Zhongli, Xingqui and Bennett. This brought a smile to my face. (Ningguang, especially after her 2nd constellation, rocks. Couldn't resist the pun. Animation canceling is your friend.) I eventually replaced her with Itto and then went all in with Dendro when Sumeru came out. Still have a soft spot for her.

The Ningguang gameplay was funny but very insightful!

Niang's skill is a shield for projectiles so for an almost almost archer team really good support and it works for high ground overworld

As I was watching this video I realized that I kind of already unknowingly used some of these. During my first ever floor 12 clear, I threw together and used a team that I had never used or even really thought about before in Raiden, Yelan, Yaoyao, and Collei. With the latter 3's bursts and skills up and Raiden's skill, Yaoyao becomes an unexpectedly good hyperbloom on-fielder even with no investment into her normal attacks. Then, once their bursts are down, Raiden activates hers for some battery and good aggravate damage. Towards the end of the video, I considered all your points, thought back to that "scuffed quickbloom team" as I called it once, and smiled a little. Great video!

The team you made with -Noelle- Zhongli is exactly my Ningguang team, I've had her at C6 for a long time and is one of my most invested characters. Lost Prayer with Bennett/Zhongli and then flex; haven't tried Raiden with the team because both my Fischl and Xingqiu are also heavily invested. With buffs set up each hit of Ningguang's burst hits 11-13k, absolutely shredding everything outside of new overpowered Abyss enemies.

I can't wait to see Jello getting Zhongli .. just 2 more days left ..

I thought of a new team recently, Diluc, Tartaglia, Wriothesley, and Jean. I figured it might work out well as Tartaglia applies hydro via dagger, Wriothesley freezes them via primary attack or burst, and then Diluc melts them back down with skill and burst combo. Did not work in the slightest. The skill CD takes too long to constantly switch between the three so Jean has to just bum some healing in for a couple of seconds.

I shifted my overworld teams to always include Wanderer Kazuha and Yelan. Wanderer hold Lost Prayers for movement speed boost and anemo resonance, and he can hold sprint in the air to go super fast. If you trigger his E in water, you sprint even further from the extra points from hydro infusion

I love all your videos and I agree with 99% of your takes. However there are times where I find teams that slot diona In so well. I got lyney’s bow and if I decide to switch it from him to ganyu, using diona instead of zhongli gives me the second attack stack plus cryo resonance plus her c6 em boost. And you can slap any buffing support set on her. All this allows me to go all out with ganyus crit damage. Currently running her at 280% crit damage using lyney’a bow. I couldn’t do this without diona. Oh she heals too. I love my diona but to each his own :)

my favorite raiden team became a sort of quickbloom raiden team using yelan nahida and zhongli especally against more lightweight enemies who are ungrouped by the overload reactions that her traditional hyper team generates. yes you can also offield raiden on an EM build as a skillbot but i find onfielding raiden more fun even at the loss of dmg i inevitably gonna experience. with yelans lower hydro app i get a few more aggravates from raiden which then actually make up some of the dmg loss from not having bennett. But tahts only because my raidens set is good enaught to accomodate letting me run the missive winspear which increases both raidens atk and giving her more EM on top of nahidas EM share for both her aggravates and hyperblooms. also zhongli triples down as the sustainer, electro/dendro RES shred since no anemo slot avaliable and an additional atk buffer using the 4pc noblesse set additionally improving raidens dmg

For the record. Dehya works with yelan on skill set up. Dehya works well with stagger resistance for dps yelan. Their skills are good for vape as if you pop dehya's e then yelan's e you can get up to 95k

I rarely find myself using "meta" teams. I mostly pick my team based on the enemy: for example, I found out that against the new "crab boss" a team of Layla, Fischl, XQ and Kokomi works best. What kind of team is that? Yet, I feel pretty comfortable taking out this boss with it. Layla gives the much needed interruption resistance, Fischl and XQ are the "damaging department", and Kokomi adds some extra hydro to break the shield quicker and some survivability in case something goes wrong.

This gotta be a sign cause I was JUST thinking a couple hours ago that I would like to build Ningguang

for Ningguangs dmg, you would normal attack 3 times then charge attack to use her stacking jades (stacks up to 3 times) to deal more dmg

Building a team for yourself feels like a lot more fun than building for meta.

love your videos and have been watching for a while! i started playing genshin in January 2023 and i have learned sooo much from your videos about chars and how to figure out the good options. very early on when i started playing genshin, I made it my goal to only play male chars (mainly to cut down on how many chars i wanna pull for, worked great in sumeru, doesnt really work out with fontaine so far -_-) anyways, i was wondering if you (or anyone reading this) can recommend good "all male teams" for abyss and overworld? maybe even a hyperbloom team that might work because i have not figured out one :/ male traveler is an option! thanks to anyone who has recommendations

One team that comes to mind for all male team is a mono geo team with Itto-Zhongli-Gorou-Albedo though this seem expensive since it's composed of 3 5* and preferably a c6 gorou.. Another team that i can see working is Ayato-Kaeya-Bennett-Kazuha

If you have C6 Bennet you can use Thundering Furry: Xingqxiu-Bennett-Aether(Dendro)-Razor. It's actually a very strong team.

Here are some male-only teams off the top of my head worth trying. I haven't tried all these teams, so I can't say how good they are. Hypercarry core: Bennett, Kazuha, Zhongli, your favorite character/hypercarry (eg. Xiao, Ayato, Diluc, etc)

Wouldn't two main dpss work well though? You can switch to one while waiting for the other's skill CD. You would still have your sub DPS and buffer/healer in the other two slots. Diluc, Yoimiya, Raiden, Bennett for example?

How do you build Dehya? I haven't finished the video but I like it a lot so far! I'm asking about Dehya 'cause I won the 50/50 with Zhongli and then I tried to get Freminet on Childe's banner with one extra pull but I got her instead hahahaha

For boss farming, I actually prefer overwhelming offense over defense. Because the overworld versions are super squishy compared to Abyss 12, if you have enough firepower a lot of times you can KO them before they can even attack much. In this way, you don't have to learn any attack patterns or engage with their more difficult mechanics. E.g. when I was farming mats for Lynette, I would just run double hydro hyperbloom vs. Coppelia. Her startup animation is so long that she is dead before she poses a threat.

I use Raiden-Yelan. Not that team, but those are the core Raiden is an off-field support for Yelan. Yelan is off-field support for Raiden. And with Nahida dropped in, I can have hyperblooms exploding left and right too. It's probably not the best team in the world, but it's fun, and it kills a lot of stuff. Oh, and I have Layla to provide a shield, and that means I get freeze too once Yelan's burst is available. Watch the pretty colours!

Teams building is something I absolutely love doing. Honestly, the meta only really is something I rely on for Floor 12, and even then, it's so annoying to clear... I usually just put together teams that are fun and roll with it in basically the rest of the content (which is actually kinda 90% of it lmao). I pulled Hu Tao and Ayaka on their first banners because people were saying how good they are. I barely ever used them in the end... I actually feel it's a waste. Dehya, who isn't meta nor a big part of the damage of her team, I ended up playing a lot. I was really torn about whether to get her or not, thinking I was going to regret it. Well, not the case in the end. I played her with Childe, Layla and Nahida. I'm sure it sounds weird, but it was actually really fun. And now with Lyney, who I wanted to play with her sister Lynette, I decided to just go for a burning team by adding Dehya and Yaoyao. I tested her interruption resistance while playing Ganyu, Yoimiya, Amber and Tighnari too. I honestly enjoy the extra pyro better than Zhongli's geo. I know Baizhu didn't make lots of noise when he came out, but he's an incredible driver in hyperbloom teams.

Also, regarding Ninguang, remember that her C1 makes her NA and CA hits do AOE damage. So while she is a single target character primarily, at C1 if the enemies are grouped close enough she can damage them all. I'll eventually get my Dehya built (love her), shes at 70 right now and doesnt have talents built up & good artifacts. Side note: Raiden & Yelan are two of my favorite characters, and i frequently use them together in the overworld 90% of the time since they both have off field damage and strong on field damage. My other 2 slots rotate but they usually stay in my party.

I just build dehya with 4 pcs tenacity with full hp% and fav sword for my leney team lol. Her burst might just be a decoration for all I care

Do you have a video or where the chars are classed to help plan for teams? Like, X is an on-field damage, so X char is off field damage or elemental application, X char is off field support, etc. So I can find which char I enjoy playing so I can build a team around them, and different ways the team could go.

I'm still new so no spiral abyss stuff for me but it's so funny you put this out last night I lost my 5050 and got dehya. I like her design but know she's "bad" hopefully I can use her with other support or carry Characters 😅

I pulled Ninguang with beginners wishes and pulled Xingqiu and Bennet before AR 20. That team easily carried me to AR40+. (With Noelle).

I know it is often said that if you build a team for Floor 12 it will be strong enough to take on any of the other content. While that is true I don't think it is necessarily the best advice for the overworld. I tend towards teams that are just strong enough to defeat the various mobs of the overworld. I don't want everything to die within the first few seconds. Also, I prefer teams that focus on normal, charged and skill attacks instead of burst damage. Generally, I also include a character who heals on their skill rather than their burst. Most of the time I am grinding for drops, so I don't want to have to switch out characters to top off my health, have to use teleport to a Statue or 7 or use food to bring my team back to full. My goal is to just keep moving from one quest, domain, event or whatever, but also have a moderate amount of challenge.

same especially with overworld exploration, i use completely different teams than for abyss 12. I like to include mobility as an important aspect for an overworld team, so i often use Kazuha or Venti. Mostly Kazuha, due to his better and smoother skill and less reliance on his burst. I like to have ranged damage in an overworld team, for mobs that sit on towers and the like, so... my optimal overworld teams look extremely different than abyss teams. A classic exploration team for me is something like Kazuha (as the "main dps"), Fischl (off field dmg, a bow to shoot enemies and puzzle things if necessary), Kokomi (heals) and Nahida (harvesting plants). It's enough dmg for anything the overworld throws at me, including most overworld bosses, it's easy to play, non burst reliant, has a lot of nice synergies and good damage and is super convenient to run around and gather materials, farm mob drops, solve puzzles (though these sometimes demand swapping in a pyro unit) and explore.

Many said I shouldn't, but I'm in the process of building an off-field dmg oriented Layla with Golden Troupe!😁 I also put Golden Troupe on my Raiden for my Scara team (I do have an emblem set for her, but I hardly use her burst😭)

I run Wanderer as DPS and Yoimiya as well, then I have Yaoyao and Beidou as supports. They aren't a massive hitting team, but are quite versatile when it comes to dealing with multiple elements without having to switch teams. The gameplay is perfectly satisfying, and I always have a bow character on hand, and a claymore if needed. Basically to say it's a farming fighting team...lol. Not a fan of spiral abyss, seems to repetitive to me, so I do not recommend this team for spiral abyss since I haven't tested it.

Regarding Ningguang, I was wondering how viable trying to force her into a support role might be in a Geo team. Her Screen gives a Geo Damage bonus for whoever walks through it, and she's a catalyst meaning ttds is an option for support. Or if you wanted to get creative, maybe even Hakushin Ring Ningguang paired with Fischl for the Electro Crystalize to boost Geo Damage for the party some more? (short uptime for the Ring, though). Obviously, she's not the best pick for this if you have other more premium geo options, but I've wanted to experiment with this idea when I actually get more pieces to try this out with. Something like main DPS Noelle, Gorou, Ningguang, Fischl.

I used to bring that exact team, but i permanently switch to Albedo after i got him. Ningguang might increase Noelle's damage with TTDS and screen buff, but Albedo is more convenient to use and i dislike the fact that Ningguang can't benefit fully from Gorou's buff. His flower gets easily destroyed though when facing bosses. By the way, the idea of giving her Hakushin Ring is pretty interesting, never crossed my mind before.

me with 3 5* and a few 4*: exploration team: yelan and kazoo, weekly bosses yelan kazoo and layla: abyss

Noelle as shielder is underrated, I´ve always kept her at lvl 40 for the bad reviews and recently I had to build her because I needed a shield for Azhdaha who always depleted my food to beat him at level 70, after building Noelle full defense (and of course staying away those 12 secs. her shield is off), I started to beat not only Azhdaha but also Raiden and Scaramouch at level 90 almost without eating food.

Post C1, you "can" theoretically make a Forward Melt Dehya with Kaeya, but the rotation is tight. Kaeya E, Kaz Q, Bennet QE, Kaz EE, Kaeya QE, Dehya EEQ. You can go CW but mind your ER nonetheless.

The team i would build base on ningguang is Ningguang (on field dps) Zhongli/Noelle (shield) Bennett (Buff/Heal) Xiangling (Off field sub dps) Geo Resonance will give dmg bonus with shield, plus pyro Resonance and bennett buff

Video making me realize I rely way too much on guides telling me which teams to use, lmao. ...Should probably get around to my goal of clearing Spiral Abyss with a Main DPS Xinyan.

I really like experimenting with teams around characters I like. My standard is to find teams that only make sense bc your character is in it. Bc of that, I don't like that 1st example with Ningguang. The water off-fielders were doing all the reaction work while Ningguang just exists. Any shields aren't that impactful bc if I were playing it that team wouldn't need shielding. You could replace Ningguang would nearly anyone and nothing would change, in fact it might even buff the team. The other example with her and Hu Tao is better imo, bc at least a shield is extremely useful for Hu Tao. Tbf, its a hard one bc there aren't many synergies with geo in general to work with.

You know what this video does? It only confirms what I thought to be true about this game, that being the fact that there only rly are a couple of teams in this game. You want to make Ninguang work? Ok : Just put her as the 4th slot. Done! Just put her alongside double Hydro. Done! Just put her alongside Hyperbloom. Done! The problem with this game is that there are limited ways to even build a team. You either put a 4th sloth in a team that already works, or you just put them alongside 3 off-fielders, or you just build them Hypercarry . There rly isn't much else. Ofc this is not necessarily a problem, however its annoying to me how people pretend that "Look I found this new Team!" when in essence is the same handfull of teams that have existed before . As far as I am concerned, there only rly are like... 3 teams, maybe 4? Those being National, Freeze , HB, the team with 3 off-fielders and the sole exception being the Hypercarry variants of some units, but even then, they are only 1 team archetype, so ....5 teams at best.

It's kind of what happened after a meta shift a year or so ago. Originally players focused only on character strength itself. Hutao being so beloved is a leftover side effect from that time period. Since then people think in terms of team comp, with your hyperblooms and freezes etc. And it makes sense to do that, but the community is really bad at ignoring characters beyond that point now. We really need to balance the two viewpoints so we can have viable team comps but also know how to build a character around all of their strengths.

@@amandaslough125 I mean , sure but "build around their strenght" means little when there are only so few strengths, right ? There are only a handfull of supports in the game and they help in specific ways.

The *Ningguang* example is kinda funny because, her current best role is applying the 4pc *Archaic Petra* buff for *Mono* Teams that don't really synergize with buffers like Bennett (who is _useless_ for Yelan + Candace moro Hydro _and bad_ for Ayaka Mono Cryo) while also enabling double Geo and not stealing much aura; In teams with enough mitigation or which need the carry to stay at low health, like *Xiao + Faruzan + Zhongli,* she can also be the solo "healer" by holding *Prototype Amber* - (going for either *Noblesse Oblige* 4pc or *Maiden Beloved* 4pc instead of Petra in this specific case)... Like, "Hyper Carry" Ningguang is her worst role. (Also I really love that characters never become 100% obsolete in Genshin, as there is always some strange niche role that only that old "bad" unit can fill.) *EDIT:* Wrote the entire comment before the video even pointed out that she works with Mono Pyro, so there is quite a ton of overlap but the Petra / Prototype Amber stuff is quite relevant... ...Also *Geo doesn't really steals reactions* for the most part, as crystalize only takes 0.5U of _elemental aura_ from the enemy (most attacks apply either 1U or 2U), so the enemy will still have enough aura for reactions (unless you manage to apply Geo twice in a row without proccing your reaction _or_ you are doing Freeze / Shatter).

I didn't watch this video until today, but apparently the Ningguang off field idea wasn't too outlandish! I'd like to share how I built my Navia team, just for the hells of it: Slot 1 - Navia, because... well, it's a team for her, lol Slot 2 - I wanted Geo ressonance, and my only geo which also works as a good crystalizer was Ningguang - Yun Jin and Noelle don't have catalysts, so their elemental application is based on their skills... on a cooldown.... Yeah no - they also aren't great geo batteries for Navia (not that her energy cost is high, but the choice here was clear to me - Ning outclassed them for the desired utility for this team) Slot 3* - This is between Raiden or Yelan: for world & exploration, Yelan the clear better choice. But for domains I can choose between them based on Domain elemental immunity. Don't have these units? My electro applicator alternatives would be Fischl or Kuki shinobu, and my hydro applicator suggestion is Xinqiu. A slightly worse applicator that can provide Shields is Layla. Slot 4* - A fully flex slot, I personally like having healers on my teams, so the natural choice here was Bennett, since he also packs that good'ol ATK buff to help Navia's damage. I think DIona could also work as a healer, also doubling down as a shielder. While I haven't built my Chevreuse yet, having tested her lvl80 copy in the event, I believe she might also be a competent healer option. (*) These choices are based on what I have on my account, so... judge me if you will, idk what I'm doing tbh And damn, being a Ningguang enjoyer, I can say this video was a very good analysis on how to teambuild, as all of the ideas brought up here were things that took me a while to figure out regarding her kit's synergies

When you’re discussing Ningguang’s team options, a few things: - Noelle is a bad shielder due to uptime and not providing anything else for the team, her primary role is to be on-field tank carry. She can be run with Ningguang, but it’s on-field Noelle team with burst-support Ningguang, not Ningguang on-field carry team. - if you want second geo with Ningg her best options are Zhongli > Albedo > geo MC. Ningguang can generate crystalize shields consistently to keep geo resonance going, so it’s not the main concern. Zhongli’s main purpose is to provide geo res shred (and then more consistent shield uptime), Albedo is there for off-field damage and Geo MC gives some minor buffs and quickswap damage. - Ningguang can’t run freeze, geo attacks are considered blunt damage and will always shatter Generally, when you’re picking off-meta characters I think the best approach is to go “what strong three-unit core this character can work with” and not “what units can support this character”. For most characters if they don’t work with hyperbloom core of Nahida/Xq/Kuki they can work with either double hydro core of Yelan and Xq or monopyro core of Benny/Xiangling/Kazuha.

My favorite characters are Nilou, Yaoyao, Yelan, and Collei. I have Nahida and use her in the abyss, but those four are my favorite!

Well you are lucky since those make a perfectly viable team in itself!

One of my favourite Abyss 12 team that I have consistently used for more than a year is C3 Raiden, C6 Yae, C6 Sara, Sayu. While everyone else is hyper invested, Sayu is one of the most crucial pieces for my VV shred and healing. I just got Jean, but I think Sayu will be staying on this team because Inazuma.

I’m still trying to figure myself out on what I like on this game I love comfort characters as well as characters that have cc in both controlling the enemies and have immunity towards cc I think the characters I use the most in Genshin is Kazuha Yelan Raiden and Zhongli. It’s a weird comp but I like all 4 characters playstyle and I feel like it suits me the most.

Currently tho I replaced my Zhongli for Baizu since he heals and has a shield for at least one hit of interruption resistance.

I run dehya with nahida, diona and ganyu. Nahida E and ult, ganyu and diona ult, and then dehya fistacuffs melts while nahida E re-procs burn

Idk how said this but it is true. If you wanna build a team with a non meta character you need to fill the rest of the team with meta characters to clear abyss 12

17:38 I've been using that team for a month now because I got bored of Diluc. Honestly, trying out different team comps for "bad" units is fun because it just becomes boring when I'm using the same "meta" team for eternity

Ning then zhongli and you Juan are good. Venti is great too

Gorou does work w ningguang if u have a mono-geo, because of the geo dmg bonus lol

For anyone trying to use Dehya, My biggest reccomendation is build her Full EM for a burgeon team, Her bigger AOE skill makes her a great trigger for the burgeons

tighnari kuki yelan and fischl is this team good ? i don't know if it is hyperbloom or aggravate or spread , i just like this team(not built completely) and dunno if it is good overall any advice ?

These kinds of teams are called quickbloom (quicken + hyperbloom) and work really well (i've been using tighnari/nahida/kokomi/kuki for a while and it shreds the abyss). I mean hyperbloom is broken, what did you expect would happen when you add a spread/aggravate dps on top x) The only advice I would give is that tighnari might not have enough consistent dendro application, since his is very frontloaded, so you might want to replace fischl with an off-field dendro to keep generating dendro cores after you've done your 3 charged attacks

It’s not that good. Tighnari’s dendro application is too front-loaded so you won’t have many hyperblooms, he’s a charge attacker so you won’t be getting much of Yelan’s Q procs while he’s taking fieldtime and you’re not getting many Fischl’s A4 procs as well. You’d be much better off by replacing either Yelan with Nahida (dendro MC/Collei work too, but not as well) to make a somewhat decent quicken team or Tighnari with Nahida/Alhaitham to make a hyperbloom team

Not very synergistic since Yelan's burst won't proc when Tighnari is doing his charged attacks, and when he is finished, there is little to no dendro left to make hyperbloom. Personal team recommendation: - Tighnari/Fischl/Kuki/Nahida - Tighnari/Fischl/Kuki/Zhongli - Tighnari/Fischl/Yae/Zhongli - Tighnari/Yae/Nahida/Zhongli - Tighnari/Yae/Nahida/Bennett - Tighnari/Fischl/Nahida/Bennett - Tighnari/Fischl/Yae/Yaoyao - Tighnari/Fischl/Kuki/Kazuha

My overall relax team for most cases is wanderer, faruzan, yelan and diona. Freeze, travel, damage all included but thats my take...

20:36 hmm interesting, raiden soup 🤔 not sure how you’d manage to double swirl while infusing kazuha with pyro, I have the same issue with ayato fischl Bennett kazuha 😢

I tend to build hypercarry teams with 2 supports. A healer, a shielder, a main and sub DPS units for everything other than floor 12. Zhongli is in 90% of my parties. I tend to play Eula and Yoimiya a ton. I used to use Qiqi ALOT. I love her cute little personality. But her cooldowns are absolutely horrendous so I stopped using her in favor of Diona. I was a Ningguang main when the game first started.. She is great but she needs a shield. Her damage is pretty ridiculous if you build her right. She is wonky though, just like Klee. But you get used to it. My favorite team is Nahida/Zhongli/Kokomi/Raiden. I stopped paying attention to meta and just play the characters I like nowadays.

I'm trying tovmake my Dehya good. At first, I placed her in team with Keya. Now I'm trying to group her with Kazuha, Benny and Kokomy (for extra healing) But i'm still don't feel that good and comfortable. I wish I could get some more her consts to buff her some more. And i wish i have the best artifacts just to make her the strongest....

Thanks for the tips. I am so tired of seeing Bennett in every single team for the Abyss. I don't like this character at all and I haven't used him once since I got him in 1.2.

There are a lot of teams that don't need bennett and you can have fun with. You have tazer teams,quicken/HB teams,bloom teams,freeze teams,mono geo teams,soup teams,salad and this one uses bennet but in a more fun way but rainbow razor with C6 Bennett

I “came up” with this team on my own and im very proud of it. Nordhoff is what i call the team (nordhoff is a school book supplier) it consists of Tighnari, Yea miko, Albedo, Baizhu. (I sometimes swap albedo for lisa) Not the strongest team, it gets the job decently done and they are all characters that i love in genshin.

It's a pretty good team actually to be honest. Two off-field dps (Yae and Albedo), dendro resonance, spread buff and heal from Baizhu, EM buff from Albedo, crystallize shield for extra layer of interruption resistance. Chef's kiss 👌

@@verzetta exactly its a very safe team while still dealing very good damage. The downtime that Tighnari has fits perfectly with the higher field time Yea requires. Deepwood on baizhu and Wanderers troupe on Tighnari. Yea 2p/2p (still farming) and 4 husk albedo. I also like Lisa instead of albedo, high electro damage, def shred and Tighnari aoe taunt gets most enemies to stay in lisa burst 😂

I use this team all the time except instead of baizhu I use zhongli. And sometimes I replace tighnari with nahida. Everything just perfectly synergizes tbh.

Nolle is amazing - she also provides healing for the entire team and can bring them from almost dead to full heal in one super.

nope, she is really bad. the fact she have to take up time on field to heal makes her really bad compared to Zhongli that can just shield for much shorter time than for Noelle to heal the party

Zhongli is a 5 star - Much rarer and harder to get - Nolle can be gotten FAR easier - i mean...unless you wanna be some whale. Nolle is 100% a GREAT option, and Zhongli also doesnt heal. If you dont have Zhongli,which MANY dont, Nolle IS amazing!! She can output some Great Damage / heal the ENTIRE team to Full / and C6 ing is actually possible with Noelle. Overall geo isnt in the greatest spot but can nolle carry you thru the game? Hell Fn Yes bro = Amazing and not bad what so ever.

As someone who has been playing since ver. 1.0, Bennett, Xingqui, Kazuha, Zhongli are overused characters. Have these 3 units and basically you already have a "meta" team. With over 60 units as of ver 4.0, I'd rather mix and match more units than always sticking with the old.

It's just the fact that these 4 star character's are the "glue" for your team to make it work while your favorite characters are the building blocks

While not as strong as some other burgeon teams, Dehya burgeon still works. Otherwise burgeon wouldn't have been included in KeqingMain Dehya guide. The common issues would be uptime but it will be fine at C1 (standard character so it's within possibility), the 2.5s cooldown (still acceptable), and also she won't trigger burgeon when the opponent has high hitbox like Ruin Guard and some flying opponents (nothing can be done about it, Kazuha can help but usually he is wanted for the other team).

i added zhongli and xingqiu to my overworld team and 36 star the abyss with it

Klee burgeon is super fun

I'll still build teams the same way again
