    Hello there Kenneth! I also got the OneOdio Open Rock and was amazed at how good they sound. They really rock! We know the challenge it is to deliver good bass without the silicon eartips seal. With that in mind, it is already amazing what half in-ears such as Galaxy Buds Live or Soiundpeats Air 3 achieved in terms of bass delivery. Both I got after your recs by the way! 👊 But the farther you get from the ear canal, the more difficult it becomes to deliver low frequencies. So, what they have achieved with this technology here is really mind blowing! They really had to figure out a puzzle here. I would say It is a kind of directional beam of sound that travels straight to your ear canal. If you make an analogy with light, this one here would be more like a laser beam or directional flashlight, whereas normal earbuds give off a kind of more open cone of sound, such as a light bulb. Great, great tech! I agree 100% with your review, as usual. Great job!

  • @davi.poiani

    @davi.poiani

    Жыл бұрын

    @@stephaniezeng2373 Very comfortable to wear indeed! One important point is this: the sound quality is excellent considering the physical limitations of this form factor (the fact it is far from the ear canal). If you want the most in terms of sound quality, more immersion with the music, then you should go for one of those in-ear TWS pairs with ear tips. Here, there is trade-off you make to have the ear canal free so that you can also listen to the environment and your surroundings. You wont' have here the same deep subs, the rumble and thumpy bass you get from in ears. But still bass is present, good and coherent with the presentation. Although all of them are TWS earphones, they are 3 very distinct categories of products.: in ears, half in-ears and open ears. If you really like to invest in this kind of tech, I think you should have at least one of each in the collection. If not, go for what is best for your needs right now. One of my favorites for each category would be: In ear with ANC: Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro, Half in ears: Soundpeats Air 3 Deluxe, Huawei Freebuds 4 or Galaxy Buds Live Open ear design (or air conduction): OneOdio Open Rock

    Oladance comparison would be interesting and even moreso: I want it for cycling...and still want soundstage, etc. from open back headphones.-> and I found a fun solution with Koss KSC75...or wireless koss ksc 35. It is interesting because it simply has a much much bigger driver. Just comparing the soundquality....because you hopefully get them in wireless, smart solutions soon. Kenneth you should do your latency test for tws with the superpowered latency app. Just put max volume on the earbud and put it as close as possible to the phone microphone. Gives pretty accurate results, and it's soooo EZ to do For example, I'f i use the soundpeats H1 with SBC and game mode on, i get around 130-140 Ms. Then trying Aptx adaptive and enabling low latency mode in developer options, i get 110-120ms. (Some phones have removed the ability to change Aptx latency for some reason, not in mine) When I try in game, Aptx with LL feels a little bit faster than SBC with game mode, so the test does represent real latency.

    Жыл бұрын

    No worries! Sponsored or not I will always put my shoes on the user side. I actually would love to compare it to the oladance but problem is I do not have it and buying one in my country is quite costly From the reviews that I’ve watched online though (about oladance) I’ve found that most of the open-ear advantages we have are there as well, battery life is similarly crazy, just mainly the oladance case doesn’t have battery unless you spend more Maybe it’s just me but I prefer the physical control here, and although build quality looks better on the oladance but the fact that we’ve got a farily compact case with batteries inside, I think I’ll go for OneOdio for value (it’s cheaper right) That said, maybe the oladance sounds much much better? But that’s something I can’t say until I try by myself haha

    Hello! I'm new to your channel and I've been watching a ton of your reviews. But, I'm still undecided on what to get. In your opinion, what would be your top pick given the following in order of importance: 1. Sound quality. Not a bass head. Primarily listen to classical and orchestral film scores. 2. Comfort 3. Works with Android (no missing features). Specifically Pixel 7 Pro 4. ANC 5. Battery life. At least a few hours. 6. Mic 7. Build quality 8. Ideally, under $200 USD Also, do you think LDAC is needed? I'm using FLAC files and Tidal HiFi. Thanks 🙏

    Hello and welcome to the channel! I'm really glad to have you around 😁 Now looking at your music subscription and current music files, I take that you want the best sound quality possible out of an earbuds, and for that purpose actually I would suggest an in-ear since they sound the best compared to half in-ear or the other open variants. And one in particular actually comes up to mind, I am actually right now trying the Oppo Enco X2 which ticks every single thing that you need, just need to change the EQ to the Enco X in the HeyMelody app and it'll sound amazing (originally I'd recommend the Soundcore Liberty 4 but that shines the best when you like bass) Anyway since I'm still testing it, my full review will take a couple weeks more, so you could buy it right now and really I don't think you could go wrong with it (just the transparency isn't the best), would be happy to send over an affiliate link if you wanna purchase one, but if you're not in a hurry, I'd love to see you in the review then haha 😁 Can't go over details here otherwise it'll be thousands of words long, but if you have a specific question feel free to let me know!

But they aren't convenient with a toddler in the house. The Oppo Enco x2 aren't available in the US. Are they worth ordering and waiting on? Where do you recommend ordering from?

    @@jonathansnydermusic Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro could be another good option as well. Kenneth also recommends them and has a review about here in the channel. The build quality and overall package is premium. Very comfortable fit and pretty good ANC. The stock sound signature tends to have strong bass (not necessarily bass-head). But here is the catch: Soundcore has a great app (one of the best TWS app in the market) and you can EQ and save your custom settings. You will be able to tone down the bass in a way that suits best your needs. By the way, Liberty 3 Pro is a hybrid, it has a dynamic driver and a balanced armature to take care of the higher frequencies.

    I could see that happening but to be honest I do not recommend buying these if your primary use is for bus/train commute (unless you really can’t stand in-ear/half in-ear) cause it that exact place you’ll try to cancel the loud environment noise by cranking up your volume, which will result in noise leak I see open-ears are primarily designed so you can be aware of your surroundings while doing sports, walking in the street, etc. and for that purpose I don’t think it’ll be as annoying, and for the user it’ll be an amazing experience As for mic quality, I think it does a pretty good job matching the AirPods Pro 2 for something without a stem, but hey it is what it is 😁 Thanks for watching as always by the way!
