Portobello Market is crowded with tourists. We mainly introduce antique tableware. There was a small incident and my husband didn't come home, so he went to a strange place.
I would also like to introduce a recipe for scones.

Walnut scones (14-16 pieces)
A. Plain flour (preferably fine-grained, type “00”): plain flour-250g
A. Light brown sugar-2 tablespoons
A.Baking powder: baking powder-1 tablespoon
A. Baking soda: carbonate soda-1/4 teaspoon
A. Sea salt: sea salt-a pinch
Unsalted butter-90g (cut into 1cm cubes and refrigerate until ready to use)
Chopped walnuts---30g+a little for garnish
Egg: egg--1 piece
B. Plain yogurt: plain yoghurt-100g
B. Milk: milk---2 tablespoons
*Before baking, preheat the oven to 200℃ / 180℃ with fan / gas mark 6.
1. Sift together A. and put it in a bowl. Beat the eggs well, set aside 1 tablespoon for glazing, and mix the rest with the ingredients in B.
2. Gently massage the butter into the flour mixture with your hands. It's okay if some lumps remain.
3. Add the mixture of B. all at once and mix with a rubber spatula. Add chopped walnuts and mix thoroughly.
4. Place the dough all together on a floured surface (not listed) and roll it out with a rolling pin to a diameter of about 20cm. Cut out the dough with your favorite mold (I used a 6cm diameter mold) and place them on an oven tray lined with parchment paper, leaving spaces between them.
5.At this point, I think it's best to just warm up the oven. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and it will fluff up a little. Brush the surface of the dough with 1 tablespoon of the beaten egg that you left aside in step 1, and place the chopped walnuts on the surface to soften it a little.
6. Bake in a preheated oven for about 13 to 15 minutes until the inside is cooked through and the surface is golden brown and it's done.

I live in Toronto and my boyfriend flys to Haida a lot with an airline. So nice to hear the story had a happy ending. Loved your scones and even better the Canadian Maple Syrup. Will try and bake them. Love the Portobello market. I spend a great deal of time in London.

Good things no longer trickle down to this level of the antique trade, but still worth a visit if you're starting up a household and looking for inexpensive kitchen stuff.

Where is Toronto lol? I live an hour away from Toronto in Niagara Falls. Its better to be home safely a day later then risk a problem with crushed phone batteries. Hope the pure Maple syrup made the wait easier. Portobello Market feels special in the autumn season. Lovely day out.
