“You’ll Be Welcomed With Hot Chocolate And Blanket” Isabel Oakeshott Slams Labour’s Immigration Plan
Rwanda “has fully upheld its side of the agreement”, its government said after Sir Keir Starmer confirmed the deportation policy is to be scrapped.
In a statement on Monday, a spokesperson in Kigali said they “take note” of the UK Government’s plan to axe the multimillion-pound agreement, which Rishi Sunak had set up in an effort to deter migrants from crossing the English Channel.
On Saturday, Sir Keir described the Migration and Economic Development Partnership (MEDP) with the African nation as being “dead and buried before it started”.
The statement from Rwanda comes after the first migrants to cross the Channel since Labour’s General Election victory arrived in the UK, adding to the 13,574 already recorded by the Home Office to make the journey this year.

I no longer give donations to the RNLI. The RNLI is there to save people who are in peril at sea around our coast and not there to go and 'rescue' people who have intentionally put themselves at risk in order to be rescued and deposited into our country. The RNLI should 'rescue' these people and deposit them back on French soil as that is where they were safe before they got into the inflatable boat.

What infrastructure improvements have to be made or will homelessness, overcrowding, serious road congestion, service queues and deprivation inevitably occur ? Most concening is the cost of these improvements. How many new towns, new schools and hospitals, additional roads and extra motorway lanes and new wider bridges will be needed in the short term. The list goes on. Of course we can all suffer from life approaching asphyxiation with all the medical and psychological effects that are likely to result. The bias and two-way policing have eroded public trust and created a negative perception of law enforcement. Just listened to Dan Wootton in conversation with Angela Levin. Apparently King Charles didn't approve of the Rwanda Scheme. So much for a non political monarchy. Personally I'm raging 😡😡😡 as I don't live in the privacy and safety behind palace walls. Bang goes my support for a monarchial society.

KC believes in WEF I heard (he is allowed to have personal views but should keep them to himself), but PW may think differently. We are losing so much in this country. My belief is we need the monarchy, its Britishness and its traditions. Imagine having to vote in a president every 4 years. That would be the end of British traditions and values.

The funds should be reimbursed to the taxpayers, and immediate action must be taken to address the issue of small boats. Failure to do so will have dire consequences.
If you're caught as a passenger in a stolen car and participate willingly with intent in the knowledge the car is stolen then you're a criminal. Migrants who board a small boat knowing they're part of an illegal operation are criminals too.
What about the care home in the Midlands which is currently being converted for migrants occupatiom ?
Councils have been surcharged in the past [Liverpool] for misspending money and eventually those individual counsellors were held personally liable for the misuse of public funds. Is it now a case that the Rwanda scheme which was held as illegal on so many bases falls into the misspending of public funds? Either the Tory government are liable for the costs individually and severally OR the incoming Labour government who have cancelled the scheme should be held responsible for the loss. Whoever was allowed to legally pursue the Liverpool case should surely pursue the Conservative and Labour actions of such profligacy. They should be held financially accountable, even those who lost their seats. There should be no protection against maladministration or failures in public office. Governments must learn that it is OUR money and not theirs.
The lefties don't think this is the most important thing that needs doing 🤷♀️
