If he actually cares and is inclined to reach out to his kids, he can buy an I-pad, tablet or phone for his kids and call them on their line. Plenty of men do it.

@@samiam1474 he left everyone devastated. She had to work to make sure she and the kids were okay. At that point, she didn’t have the time or energy to answer the phone. Especially when you see he is only interested in arguing with her about “what’s she’s doing” rather than the kids. He read his son’s letter and completely dismissed it and went in on her. That’s probably why she stopped picking up the phone.

He delayed opening those results because he knew that once she proved those kids were his that he could no longer use doubt of their paternity as an excuse for being a bad father. He knew those kids were his all along.

I remember I was a kid ..my mom and her boyfriend broke up right after he promised he’d take us all to Disneyworld that summer we were so excited but when he left we were devastated like there goes our trip I remember my mama said she hadn’t heard from him in months and he lied to us until one day that summer out the blue he showed up and shockingly tells us to get packed ..he still went through with it that whole week treated us like we were his own kids again and made due to his promise. He still wanted nothing to do with my mom and we actually never saw him again after that but I’ll always respect him for that

He's a serious narcissist, and she is a victim of narcissisistic abuse for a long time. What she's doing is called grey-rocking. Here is a living example of how some males, because he is far from a man, will only deal with the children to the extent that they are involved with the mother. He is manipulative, selfish and narcissistic. He abandoned the children for an entire year to punish her for whatever reason. He couldn’t even take a second to acknowledge the letter his son wrote for him asking why did he leave. Not even a single second. He went right back to blaming every single thing on her and insinuating it is what she did or didn’t do that caused him not to show up for the children he helped create. He is pathetic. It’s very difficult to be consistent over a significant period of time when you’re wearing a mask. The truth leaks. People usually admit to having seen red flags and ignoring them, once the relationship ends. In this case she didn’t break this man. He came to her broken. He latched on to her as a lifeline. He’s a professional gas lighter. He started out talking about rumors and it just felt like he will use that to beat her down, emotionally, every time he wants to change the subject to make her the villain. He has self esteem issues that need addressing. On positive note; brother is wearing that suit and has the perfect look for editorial modeling. Maybe that will change his outlook. SHE needs to realize that leaving HER is not leaving his kids so, even if he’s not there physically, she needs to let them SPEAK to their father when he calls. That, “what reason do I have to answer?” is a huge indicator of someone who will train the kids to believe that their father abandoned them while not telling them that he stopped trying because she made it virtually impossible for him to communicate, or see, them.

No, he IS an absentee. You CANNOT parent overseas or across the state or country. It take more than an occasional phone call to raise children. He’s not in prison so that is not acceptable. It’s no excuse for not showing up regularly including special events to spend with your children. He chose to walk away because he can’t have her. @@auntkera he never wanted to be a parent in the first place. When he was around he never acted like a parent. My oldest niece had to take care of them (feeding, bathing, homework, etc.) My sister is doing so much better without him. I hate that they won't have a dad in their life but Cody isn't fit to be a father

It’s not easy to co-parent, especially when your states apart. I know people can do it successfully, but someone has to pick a state and co-parent the kids together. It’s about the kids and we as parents need to be involved in our children lives.

The thing that people get confused about love is that it's not an emotion it's an action word. The more you show love the more you receive it. Actions will always speak. People continue to mix emotions with the action words. Saying I love you is not enough. You have to show it with your actions not your emotions.

I feel so sorry for her as a fellow single mum with a very similar ex husband who also obsessed over controlling me instead of prioritising his children but I can also sense as wrong as this man is, he is acting out of fear, he doesn't feel safe in romantic relationships, believing he will inevitably be deceived hence mistrusts, maybe not feeling worthy of love, something is going on deep down inside and he desperately needs psychological therapy to understand his unhealthy, self sabotaging mindset. I pray the show facilitates, assists with therapy for them moving forward. 🙏

ive literally watched my mom threaten my dad with a knife to prevent him from coming in the home and all he wanted to do was see me. and No, this is not just me. youre NEVER the only one with anything. are you the only one who wears socks when they sleep??? maybe you're not black but unfortunately this is COMMON in our community. the mom hates the dad, so he cant see the kids.if he comes to the door, he gets threatened, and cops get called and he will be arrested regardless. this woman isnt black but the point stands in context to your comment specifically and not the video.

That’s common in YOUR black community, not every black person experiences the same things. My mom opened doors for my dad & he had freedom to see me if he wanted. My mom even let him stay with us when he had no where else to go. I overheard her on the phone saying she wouldn’t want me to grow up resenting her for leaving my dad homeless. Not every black woman is bitter, some are angry rightfully so but a lot of moms still do the right thing. I more see mothers begging for help.
