Sprite is the best hangover cure, the Chinese did a actual study on it for over 10 years. When you drink alcohol your liver processes the alcohol into waste, that waste is what's causing your hangover. Sprite neutralizes the waste. Google it, Sprite, Chinese hangover cure study.

Plenty of Irish people don't drink. We just like to socialise & party. If you think potatoes are boring then you're cooking them wrong. Irish men are very protective, funny, & surprisingly shy beneath the bravado. Yes, they love their mammy but if you're nice to your Irish boyfriend you too can have an Irish mammy! They're amazingly supportive & always cooking and baking.

I love roast potatoes, baked potatoes with cheese and onion or even beans, or spicy stuff. aye my Irish pals I knew over the years liked to socialise and were more likely buying the whole pub a pint than drinking anything themselves.

Yeah a lot of that is true. When people talk about "traditional Irish families" they mean that families here are very close knit and will never leave each other's side whenever someone needs help. I can also confirm that for both Irish men and women, their mother is the primary person in their life: everyone will always go to their mother first for advice and everyone loves their mother's cooking! :D

This Dutchman married a slender, tiny, dark haired, blue eyed Celtic beauty from Ireland 35 years and never regretted it. But the mother (a.k.a. ''MUM'') part is true. Do NOT force her into a conflict of loyalties. Because you will make her life difficult, or you might even lose her. Irish women are loyal, warm, caring and (fiercely!) protective towards all their loved ones. Including you and her/your children. Make the best of that, even if this sometimes means having to endure a rather interfering and bossy mother in law.

Watching football (as in soccer) games with all his friends whilst ignoring you and being pissed at his friends and the football players for not playing according to what he thinks is right 😂😂 Yes, Portuguese eat snails. I know it's weird but we don't really think about it. It's delicious and mandatory in the summer accompanied by a cold beer. At least try it or get used to it 😂🐌🐌 Probably a little bit of a "there's gender roles" mentality tbh .. he will pay the bill if he's into you but doesn't really respect your opinions about soccer lol. Definitely makes jokes about women in the kitchen but tries really hard to show you he's awesome cooking skills Definitely a mama's boy Drinks a lot of Portuguese beer and plates without meat aren't considered real food (majority won't be very vegan friendly and will make jokes about it) He will take you to the beach and then leave you on the sand while he surfs for hours. If the waves are good theennn 😅 If he's traditional, he'll like to see "touradas" and "largadas". He probably also goes into the ring in "largadas" and chases and runs from the bull just to give you a heart attack Always late. Always. Friends time is precious Time so you'll have to respect that but he's definitely very jealous of your friends 🤷🏻‍♀️ If he likes you he'll try very hard to make you feel good and impressed, he'll crack jokes and treat you as a gentleman would (probably only lasts for a bit though 😂) He's unapologetically loud and fun as most Portuguese are, but he'll assume an aggressive "macho man" attitude when he's challenged with some drama as most Portuguese men and women do tbh 😂 (that Latin blood I guess)

The Portuguese tend to be blunt and honest. It can sometimes be jarring if you're from a culture where they "soften" things so not to cause offence, like many American and British people. They also tend to be noticeably reserved and rather melancholic on first acquaintance, but kind and helpful too.

Ah no, you made them out to be so childish! I can guarantee you this is just not right and representative of a small and diminishing group. What about how they're the funniest men in the world? And how you need to be able to laugh at yourself and have a good time. Shocker, you could actually go out with him? If you're not a wet blanket or feeling like you need to "compete" for his time you might actually have some fun? And they bloody love festivals. A huge proportion of Ireland are regular festivalgoers.

I couldn't agree more. I traveled to Europe with some friends. But It wasn't until I went off to Ireland on my own that I actually met a guy I liked. The funniest man I've ever met was in Dublin. He made me laugh the entire time I was with him. Plus he help ease some of the anxieties I had of being alone in a strange/different county. Which can be a little scary for a girl at first. But the guy I met was super sweet and he help me out a lot. I'm thinking of going back next year, would be nice to hook back up with him again.

All of the use thicker baconlike called fläsk or modern bacon and lingonberry jam. We love the french gratin and belgique pommes. Baked big potatoes, new fresh cooked, roasted, barbecued. Hasselback are from a restaurant that is still here.

Hi :) I'm french and I'm dating an irish man, I was expecting this video for months now, so cool it finally happened :) If I was to make that kind of video, the first thing I would point out about irish men in general is that they're terribly "boorish"; That's what all of my french/german friends and I noticed straight away and kinda disgusted us, but now I obviously got used to it ( cultural differences I suppose :) ) And compared to all other nationalities I've dated/ got along with, irish men are the kindest and surprisingly the most shy ^^ I would really appreciate a "you know you're dating a french woman when" next, to give my irish man the change ;)

  • @DatingBeyondBorders

This is quite interesting actually! I think Anglo culture is generally a lot more 'boorish' especially if you compare it to that of French. Great point and one I would have made as well, had we not been comparing it to North America (since it can also be boorish!)

  • @DMuzza

I loved this video. It's interesting how irish man is. I notice that he's charming and sweet. Also, he is not shy. Another interesting thing is how they love potatoes. The video show us about their lifestyle, how they are good to drink and how they have their own hangover cure methods. And without forgetting the affection that they have for their mothers. It's nice to see the trust between they and their mothers, but sometimes for some people this can be a little bit uncomfortable after a while. I only can say, this is an amazing video. 👏 Pd. His cute accent reminded me of Niall Horan from One Direction 🤭💛
