You know what I like? ft Joel Haver

Комедия

You know what I like? A lot of things actually. I'm sure you do too. We should talk about the things we like more often. I like it when people do. I always learn something or I find some cool new thing I end up being interested in whenever it happens.

It's like a nice little surprise. As you go about your days, as they turn into weeks, months, years, as they turn into lost time we wish we had back, sometimes we get the little joy of our favorite creators uploading some content we can enjoy. It might take awhile, especially for Adam, but it's like a gift because you'll never expect it. All it takes is a little patience.

I love how Adam makes everything so fun and lighthearted, but also serious. He lets things be emotional without it being overbearing. It's a really nice light, I love your content, man. Unlike some YT's, it really feels like you're down here, with us. You aren't the creator and we are the consumers, it feels like we're friends sharing a laugh. You're no higher than us, and sometimes, people forget that content creators are people, too. With issues and personal insecurities and everything we have. Fame doesn't change that- sure, it can get to some people's heads, but Adam doesn't let that happen. He keeps it personal and fun, all at the same time.

It’s really a wonderful thing when a creator finds themselves comfortable enough to share how and what they feel like you do. The way you have been willing to share vulnerability, joy, melancholy, humor, malaise… It makes your videos feel like more than just a ~10 minute nugget of entertainment, it often feels like talking with a friend. The sincerity of it, the way the humor is mixed into a larger conversation, one which is lighthearted and with no shortage of jokes and laughs, but masks the underlying topics which are both significant and emotional. Stuff most people shy away from sharing on the internet, or to people they don’t know very well. There are massive channels and multi-million dollar productions that strive to connect with an audience like that and fail. But you’ve been just doing it lately, making it look easy. I don’t know if it’s a matter of pure creative talent, or if it took a lot for you to get where you are, but despite barely knowing you, you and your channel feel familiar to me, comfortable. I don’t really know where I’m going with all this, but I guess I just wanted to vocalize how much I’ve been enjoying your videos lately. Keep doing what makes you happy, Adam. You’re a talented creator and an amazing person.

I’ll update this comment as I think of more things :) - I like when song lyrics click in my head. I think people sing songs because they’re catchy and fun but when you take a moment to really read and understand the lyrics, it’s a different kind of happiness and connection. - I like my personal space. Being by myself is sometimes when I’m the happiest. I enjoy people but I enjoy my own company as well because I can be and have fun with myself - I like reading Good stories are awesome to come by and the worlds authors build are so neat - I like having ADD Sometimes it’s a struggle but I love how it makes me think. I can hyperfocus on something or completely zone out of the moment and be in my own world - I like learning Having new knowledge and then sharing it is the best - I like talking I like talking to people about my day and my thoughts. I’m quiet most of the time (it’s one of my personality traits) but when I have stuff to talk about, I love sharing it - I like when people listen to me It’s nice to find people that actually pay attention to my words and stories. It makes me feel like someone actually cares and I’m not stressing people about - I like listening to people Come talk to me and tell me about your interests or a pet peeve you have. I love hearing it. (If someone comes across my comment, please tell me about your interests or day in the replies :]] ) - I like watching SomethingElseYT and other content creators You make me happy! Your videos are silly and sometimes personal/real and I love the balance :) - I like laughing Especially those really hard laughs where I'm on the floor, clutching my stomach and the thing I'm laughing about makes no sense to other people but laugh along with me Edit 1, 2/19/23: - I love that people are replying with a list of things they like :) I'm enjoying reading about everyone's interests. There are differences and similarities in what we enjoy. - I also enjoy the rain/thunderstorms The sound and smell of rain are so calming. I love the days it rains hard and my parents allow my siblings and me to run to the car and back. We always end up soaked. Always good memories on rainy days - I like having siblings I know it's said everywhere but it really is true: siblings are annoying and a blast. There's a bond between siblings that can't really be replicated between other people. There are some things I can't say or do around other people but can do with my siblings. And being the oldest is a blessing in itself. Sure, the responsibilities are tough but I get to do and experience things with them in a different way. (e.g. taking them out to the mall w/o our parents. very diff experience lol) - I like slam poems The delivery and topic of a slam poem send chills down my arms. Words are so powerful - I like romance as a genre I used to not like the genre but after finding some good books I grew to love it. Of course, there's the occasional novel/show/movie that makes me cringe and roll my eyes but I have a better appreciation for romance - Stand-up Comedy Need I say more? - I like romanticizing things/looking at romanticizing how-tos I don't romanticize things actively in real life, I do it in my head lol but it's a fantasy I enjoy. Plus the pictures on Pinterest and Instagram are aesthetically pleasing.

I like video games, especially indie games like hades and shovel knight, even tho they make me rage sometimes. I like learning new things and discovering more about myself that I didn't previously know about. I like making people laugh and trying to get them to be more happy in life, bc life is hard and everyone needs a laugh now and then. I like watching movies as well as collecting them. I like talking to people but sometimes need my own space. I like watching funny videos on KZread and going down the rabbit hole to which I can explore and find different youtubers that I can share with my friends and coworkers. I like music and listening to my friends favorites bands only to find out I like them too. I like laying in bed sometimes just thinking about life and pondering it's mysteries. I like collecting things like t shirts for holidays and concerts, video games(both digital and physical copy) movies even tho I already said movies lol, tea, blankets, and holiday themed pajamas and socks.

Sometimes, if I’m feeling down, I throw on my favorite songs and just enjoy it and feel happy

I like my pets The feeling of never being alone and always having someone close to vent to, cuddle with or just talk to. I like my family and friends Even tho I rarely see my friends I like talking with them and I see my family pretty often and it always makes me happy. I like cleaning You know when it’s just one of those days, you’re in the mood to clean and you put on your favorite music, it’s amazing I like rain and thunderstorms Especially in the evening, just cuddling up in a blanket with tea or hot cocoa and just listen to it. I like movies and series I don’t watch a lot of it, but especially SpongeBob is something that I watch every night basically, my favorite comfort show. I like spending money Stuff for myself, stuff for my animals, it makes me happy to get new things. I like music Especially metal/rock. I like walking in the forest It’s so peaceful and relaxing to not only feel the fresh air but also having so much to look at. I like laughing and just feeling that happy fuzzy feeling. I like being heard and understood. I like when people understand a no. I like crying I’m not a big cryer so when I finally cry it feels good to get it out. I like sunny days And walking my dog on these nice days, when it’s sunny but not hot, hot. I like waking up by myself The way you wake up and feel great and fresh, compared to being woken up by an alarm clock. I like antique things Like clocks, vhs and everything else antique. And many other things 😅😁

I like to go to the park everyday - i recently got into the habit of going to a nearby park and taking a run (usually 2.5km) and it is very peaceful. The park is very well maintained and there are rarely any people in the park as i live in a pretty secluded area. I like to listen to music while doing chores - even though chores are annoying to most, I love to do chores if music is playing in the background. Not only can i just vibe to the beats but also at the end of the whole thing i get my shit together. I really enjoy just hanging out with friends - it doesn't matter if we're in a voice chat or in a mall, but i really enjoy the company of my friends and i like to think that i got lucky due to the amazing friends i have in my life. I love basketball! - sadly in recent times i had to stop going to my basketball class as i didn't have enough time to pay attention to school but i plan on rejoining in the upcoming future after my finals. (In a week). I like video games. I don't think i need to elaborate any more on that. But i especially love it with friends. Friends make everything better :)

That feeling of being understood after a long while, and being understood so accurately just hits hard.

5:21 Facts, I really like hearing people talking about things they love, more even if I like those things to. It can make me so happy in a bad day, just talk with someone about things that we like. Sometimes it's a bit complicated, because maybe you don't have someone that understands your personal tastes. In my case, I love drawing, and all the stuff relacionated with comic narrative and visual narrative, and my friends are great people, but they don't like these things the way I like It. And sometimes I feel that I need to tell someone that I saw an anime that is amazing or an animation or a game, etc. But I'm fine, I just likes what SomeThingElse said here and I ended up talking about my self, thanks for reading

I usually don't comment on videos. I don't really like to put myself out there much. But this... was beautiful. The quality and the quantity just left me in tears. Especially the rock scene. It made sense of what I'm feeling now and every day basically... the world is too loud. There's not enough silence. I'm trying to tune them out. The politics and all the screaming and hate we all give. It's too much. Too much for me. But I try to focus on the little things... I like the sunset and how it makes different colors every day. I like how the clouds hover over the mountains in the morning like fresh mist. I like to read poetry and dissecting the deeper meaning. I like laying in the sun and having the rays of the giant star wrap around me. I like creating my fantasy stories and scenarios. I love to write. But Adam, I fucking love this video that reminds me of the things I like. You are a beautiful thing in this heavy, heavy world. 🦋 Thank you.

5:12 hits a bit hard for me to because sometimes it's hard to enjoy your own things when others don't think the same. It's hard to be your own person and think your own thoughts when others try to think for you. When you show someone stuff you enjoy and they seem confused or think it's weird it hurts a bit ya know? Sorry if I'm ranting it feels good to release some emotions though.

I still come back to this masterpiece from time to time. Its so well made from the animation to the writing to the sound design! I love all the tiny references hidden in the background and the small musical bit. However the thing that gets me every time is the silence, the switch from all the loudness to the peaceful silence. it honestly gives me goosebumps every time i rewatch it again. This video truly is a master piece and everyone who worked on it did amazing!!🧡🧡🧡

Every time I see a new upload on this channel, my heart races with excitement. The amount of quality humor, writing, animation, and music poured into such a short timeframe is incredible and admirable, but this video took that to a whole nother level. I had a buddy a few years back who I got real close to. We talked every day during and after school, constantly. We got really personal with each other, talking about our loves, or "likes" in this video's context, and our hates. It was wonderful, as in the past, I had never clicked with somebody as well as I did with him, nor did I really have anyone who I felt truly accepted by. Looking back, it was a fabricated ideology in my mind, but at the time, it was my mindset. As time went on, however, our talks became less and less lighthearted, hoing from us playing a game together for an hour, only to delve into our deepest hardships and disgusts for three. It becsme a matter of therapy, where I was the patient, throwing all my issues onto the one person who was willing to hear, while simultaneously taking their issues, and pressuring them into telling me there's. It became nightly hell for him, but an average routine for me. A few months of these extreme, so-called, hellish "therapy sessions" later, he finally ghosted me, and after a bit of conflict, obsession, and entitlement, he would leave my life completely. Throughout the entirety of our friendship, specifically the times when we'd sit outside on the school bench, despite all the negativity I threw his way, we connected through something so positive, that was a highlight every month, a SomethingelseYT video. I can't express just how hard we laughed, would do impressions, analyze, or simply enjoy this channel. I'm quite certain it's what got him into animation for a time. This channel brought us a significant amount of joy unlike any other, and kept enjoyment throughout an incredibly difficult period of our lives. I still see him in school daily, sitting across some of my classes, and get a faint joy recollecting on the good moments of that time, finally appreciating it for what it was. While I was in that class yesterday, this video popped up, and it just meant the world. Every time I watch, I get this extraordinary joy that no other channel can, and the consistency of quality over quantity, tackling what feels now like larger than life topics, despite the simplicity of said topics, will never cease to emotionally and analytically touch my heart. I like your videos Adam, thank you for them.

This project was fucking brilliant. Something so powerful and honestly moving about meaningful and painful messages shown through animation. Its such a like slap in the face contrast because most of us associate the art style with our childhood. Its why animations like Bo Jack Horsman and such never cease to pull me in. Honestly I could say this almost 7 mins was on par and I love what Adam is doing with this channel. Id love to see more people use this format for this genera of media because its just so captivating. This form of media where it could be anyone drawing in any style and all that matters is the message. It pushes me to keep going despite most art teachers more traditional view on things. I'm known to be good at realism in art my sketches and what not but I just do it because that's what I'm told to do its "silly to waste my talent on doodles". Its all subjective and my art is more than doodles and what matters is that I enjoy it. Art isn't anything without passion behind it. Thanks for reminding me that.

You know what I like? How Adam tries to tell us what and how he feels through story. Sometimes that's all you need. You don't need a video with a bunch of visuals in your face all at once, the rock bit was very calming and very peaceful. Sometimes, that's what you want. Sometimes, you don't want to be bombarded with everything all at once. Sometimes, you just want to be able to relax and have nothing negative nor overwhelmingly positive coming at you. Sometimes you just want everything to be neutral, and that's okay. Have a great day/night everyone and remember to eat and drink something. Stay safe.

"Having a voice, everyone having a voice, sometimes I can't hear myself. You know what i love most in the world? Hearing people talk about the things they love, and lately, ive been finding its harder and harder to tune into these people. How can you when the much louder voices are the people telling you what to hate, who to hate, or that thing you love, should be hated. Sometimes i get so loud when im finally able to hear myself, i find myself, talking just like them. And i hate that"

You know what I like? Adam doing content like this. The genuine nature of creators and authenticity always brings me back to realizing why I still like KZread despite its ups and downs. It's both surreal and amazing. Screw all the minute details, specific talking points, and just have fun making whatever you want and well... Broadcast Yourself. That's the KZread I got addicted to.
