The reason they reduced item mitigation to what it is now is because certain gods have in kit mitigations as well as abilities that give mitigations for themselves and some gods give it to others like khepri. I agree they can increase the cap but they have to nerf the mitigations some gods get from passives of abilities as well to compensate.

Try this artio build on pts rn. Bloodsoaked shroud, shield of the phoenix, glad shield, shifters shield, amulet of stronghold/void doumaru/Pythagorean piece, chronos pendant/spirit robe/mantle of discord. The slash means it’s an optional slot. With this build it provides 3.2% mana and health restore per ability cast which is 0.7% more than og gladshield. Only issue is that you don’t get that 3.2% until level 20 but the vamp shroud also provides similar effect but at reduced effect.
