    I see a lot of people obviously not understanding why the “crossdresser” remark was bad: It’s like earlier 2000s when “that’s gay” was constantly used as an insult or meaning that something was crap. Being gay isn’t an insult. USING gay as an insult is the problem. Same thing here. I don’t care about people arguing semantics or whether Seth Rollins is or isn’t a crossdresser. The problem is that he used “crossdresser” as an insult, insinuating that being a crossdresser is bad

    Wearing your wife's clothes is an insult on the level of "you're not even The Man in your house", which is low stakes and silly and perfectly fine on the level of most wrestling. Crossdresser definitely has a much more hateful context. I don't PERSONALLY think that should mean it never gets used per se. I actually think it somewhat works in this case because it escalates the stakes in a situation where no one involved is actually having their identity attacked. But. I can also understand why people would criticize it. And I would not want it to be said again in future.

    @@keithhenderson5231 that's a poor excuse! People at my school used to call each other gay - which there is nothing wrong with being btw, but the intention was that it's a bad thing. But hey, that's "how lads talk to each other". Men in work places have often objectified women; talking about them as a conquest. But hey, that's"how lads talk to each other". My point is that the suggestion made - whether intentional or not - has horrible undertones. It's unconscious bias. Now either one can learn and proceed to be mindful of one's words, or they can double down, plant their head in the sand, and continue to justify this language that unjustly alienates groups in our society. Wrestling is sexist, and arguably one of the biggest stars - if not the biggest - of the biggest wrestling company should know better than to promote ideas of inequality.

    Could we see Jade step in to help Bayley? She could be Bayley's muscle at WM to keep DC out of the way.

  • @Cyrribrae

    @Cyrribrae

    It's possible. I think the potential options now are Naomi and Jade on Bayley's side. And Bianca, rather than joining DC, either makes up and joins Bayley OR attacks either one of them to set up something beyond WM. Maybe. Honestly, I personally see no reason that Bayley MUST win at WM. If there's a compelling enough story coming out of this, I don't mind DC getting stronger and Iyo getting more time in the ring to solidify this title reign that has played second fiddle to Bayley all along (not unreasonably so).

    "Crossdressers" called themselves such and are an actual group of people who did specific things but still considered themselves Men and not women, there's nothing homophobic/transphobic about the word. You guys don't know your history.

  • @markleewillis9920

    @markleewillis9920

    Of course crossdressers are a group, but this wasn't Roman or the WhatCulture guys saying they're not. This was about Roman Kayfabe using it as a degrading tactic to Seth; perpetuating sexist stereotypes and effectively saying that Seth is (A) because he wears (B). The undertones of homophobia is there because wearing feminine clothes is (wrongly) conflated with being gay & the the context of how Roman is using it depicts the intention/implication. Some anti-trans activists often reduce being Transgender to just crossdressing, so even if we say that he had no bad intention, the naivety and awareness of that comment is alarming imo. He's mentioned Seth wearing Becky's clothes before so it's right to call it out. All imo.

  • @rainofkhandaq6678

    @@markleewillis9920 By claiming this as "hOmOpHoBiA", it's ignoring that this has nothing to do with homosexuals whatsoever. You yourself pointed out Roman mentioning Seth wearing his wife's clothing all the time. Yeah, that's it. He's roasting him for wearing his wife's clothing, which is crossdressing. Reading any further into it than that is being disingenuous and is just the typical case of trying to be offended for every other (protected) group. "Some anti-trans activists reduce being transgender to just crossdressing" And many lgbt religion followers try to label every crossdressing scenario as transgenderism is some way, shape, or form.

  • @markleewillis9920

    @@rainofkhandaq6678 Intention is context here. It's sexist at least. Why are those clothes feminine? And what intention does Roman have by stating that they are? Feminine men are often wrongly labelled as being gay. And as this was intended as an insult, this leads me to believe that it's homophobic. However, I can see your point of view. Why say LBBT is a religion though? And can you provide me with evidence to support your claim that "many" who follow this "religion" label every crossdressing "scenario" as transgenderism please? I'm intrigued to see what you consider these types of scenarios.
