Whenever you have the chance to punish with lanturn, you switch into lanturn. There are so many things that completely hard wal lanturn, and lanturn also just completely shuts down some pokemon, so it's not wroth the risk to save it

Ehhh the only meta relevant mons in Ultra that hard counter Lanturn are Virizion and Swampert. Otherwise it’s a pretty safe swap.

I have an xl shiny shiftry and it's inexplicable how it feels to land a hurricane into a virizion lead with two shields. The only better feeling is probably my yanmega landing an ancient power into an oblivious ultra league charizard.

@@roberteckhardt7527 so today I had TWO different people trying to do the one shield flex and got knocked tf out by the earthquake from sceptile. A skeledirge and an ampharos. They had me beat for sure and they just let them through. I laughed my rear end off.

I think Amphy has better covrige. Yes is worse against Giratina and Fralligator, but can hit Skeledrige and Cressilia with SE damage and also Giratina, and with Focus Blast it can hit back Steel, Normal and Dark and it also hasnt that fighting weakness.

Listen I'm just saying Shiftry is severely underrated in the UL. It was way better before the swords of justice buff and trevenant nerf but it still threatens alot of the meta.
