David inherited a squad that only Fergie could guide to a championship. Not even Guardiola or Kloop could turn things around in a year. David needed time to get things going. After a iconic coach leaves, there is gonna be a low point. I don’t understand, why the board did not understand that.

@@zicomitchell Nah, Moyes was never the man for the job. Simple as. The board gave him a lengthy contract because they expected another Ferguson-like situation. But unlike Ferguson, Moyes never won anything or built a winning team before going to United. And don't forget even Ferguson lost faith in Moyes and agreed sacking him was correct. I remember that season very well: when things started to go badly Ferguson was the first one to defend Moyes and urge everyone to back him, but eventually (after the Fulham draw or the Olympiacos loss) he changed his tune and even said something to the effect of "A manager needs to be respected by his players. If he can no longer command respect, it's all over."

These types of fans are usually from India or the Middle East or wherever and they have no patience (or brain cells), and want to see their player win trophies ASAP and are always looking for a scapegoat to protect their player. Same with Messi fans, they are now PSG fans. This is the new era. You get the same in basketball when it comes to Lebron James. As a United fan, it still both angers me and confuses me to why they ever appointed a manager with the track record he had to manage a club like United in the first place, why didn't they appoint a manager with a better winning record??

Hi mate. What he did at Everton is good. Everton didnt have a big budget and not as attractive for big players like the bigger clubs. He was also stable in the performance then many others. Ye his win/los ratio wasnt top top. But with that budget id say he was suited for the job. He should have been given a longer run though. Hope things wil get better with our german man ❤️

Didn’t get enough time to do what? Take another sledgehammer to the club and bash it into the ground some more? Never had the right attitude for me, I remember losing 3-0 to Liverpool at old Trafford and he turns round and says we played well. And that’s not the only time. Don’t think we ever played badly in his eyes. Doing well at West Ham I see and fair play, but this whole thing about deserving more time at United, not having it.

@@MrBlodhund very true. Signed an older RVP to win the league one last time. He knew it was then or never with the rise of city and the Glazers transfer policy. His last squad was not a squad for the future. Maybe he deserved that chance with what he achieved but he did leave an aged squad to Moyes. That's a fact. Moyes was shafted in the transfer market by Woodward and had to panic buy Fellaini. If UTD signed a Rangnick type after Fergie as director, they'd have another few premier league titles by now. The inmates are running the asylum.

It’s the squad he inherited at West Ham not his man management. Don’t be fooled, Moyes is definitely not a good manager!
