I have met them both at them same convention in Stuttgart, Karen and Pom were amazing, but had the best experience I ever had at a convention with Pom because I speak french like a native speaker, and she was so happy to talk french at a convention in Germany, and she said oh please sit next to me, and we were talking like 20 minutes, and during these 20 minutes Karen joined us for like 8 minutes lol because she was like wtf are those two talking, thank you two for giving me my best convention experience ever :D

Being French and Scottish myself, I loved seeing them guessing the other's language slang. It was a brilliant watch

I'll say this for the French. While they hate anybody who isn't French , at least they hate all non French equally. I had a long tour of Europe in the 1990s traveling with a bunch of Australians and everywhere we went (especially Austria) I was treated differently (more rudely, subtle and not so subtle racism etc) from the Australians EXCEPT for the French who were just awful to us ALL equally. As odd as it may sound that made me feel better and I kind of admire them a little for it.

Loved how Karen mixed her fake American accent with her real Scottish a little in this 😂

As an half scots (from Lowlands, not Highlands like Karen Gillan) and half french, i knew all of these slangs and it was really funny to see them trying to understand it.

Mantis has become my favorite GotG character and they really upgraded Nebula. Great film and great performances by these two.

The French and the Scots have been allies for nearly a thousand years. You can see the Auld Alliance in action in this video. What a pair.

When Karen said "your discusting" she sounded alittle bit like Nebula 😂 i love it

They were perfectly cast as Nebula and Mantis. Nebula is intense and Mantis is an innocent learning something everyday. Most actors, men or women, couldn't pull that kind of acting off.

Pom and Karen need to make this an ongoing series 🤣🤩

Is it just French from France or is it a mix with Québecois ? Because I've never heard "Dauber" in France, to mean "They smell bad", in France it's "Shlinger". "Daube" is used when something is "Bad", like for example : "This movie was really bad" - "Ce film c'était de la daube".

Globalement, l'argot proposé en Français avait entre 10 et 20 ans de retard... On n'utilise pratiquement plus des mots comme " thon " ou " Canon ", et " Dauber " a vu son sens évoluer parce que le terme a apparu dans les années 2000...

Pour moi ce sont des expression beaucoup plus francaise que québécoise, je n'ai jamais entendu le mot thon utiliser de cette facon. ''C'est de la daube'', que rarement et surtout venant de francais de France, pareillement pour canon.

Ce sont des expression principalement utiliser en France, pas au Québec. Sauf peut être pour canon rarement comme dans par ex: ''cette fille/gars est canon'' (elle/il est très hot/jolie...)

That was fun. Two things: 1) "dauber" (to stink) isn't that commonly used in french. The verb "puer" is much more. And 2) 1:22 It's "THON". Very professional, IGV. Oh, and "thon" is only used for girls. Karen Gillan, in addition to being fucking gorgeous, always seems so much fun.
