In this video, I discuss some options you have if you did not initially get accepted into the University of Florida via direct application. As I mention in the video, this is not the end of the world. There are still plenty of options. The ones I mention include:
-Appealing UF's application decision
-Go to another school (preferable state school) then transfer after AA / 60 credits
-Attend Santa Fe College in Gainesville until you meet transfer requirements and still live the UF / Gainesville lifestyle until you transfer

I want to add to what you said by saying that the transfer process from a community college is much simpler than applying as a freshman. As a transfer applicant, the most important part of your application is GPA. You don't need to send standardized test scores. One thing that you do need to look out for is competitiveness when applying to transfer, because it can be harder to get into depending on your major. UF looks at your critical tracing courses (core classes) and calculates your GPA and decides on whether or not you get in from there. My critical tracking GPA is pretty good as a Computer Engineering major and plan to transfer in the Fall. Appreciate the video, its full of useful information!

Hi, I am currently attending Santa FE honors, I just graduated highschool in Miami and transferred all my Dual enrollment credits to Santa Fe and I’m on track to finish my associates in computer science at Santa Fe honors in spring in hope of getting to UF. If you don’t mind me asking, did you get in, and what was your GPA? Thank you!

How would transferring work if I have taken many AP classes that would amount to about 30 credits at UF? If I get a full 30 more credits at another school in one year, can I just spend one year there?

That may be the case. Definitely something to look into more before committing to anything.

@@craft6013 Yes its 100% possible to do that. Just make sure you are working towards meeting specific course requirements during that one year.

It depends on what you’re major is. Each department at UF have their respective level of competitiveness. Talk to an advisor from whichever department you’re applying to, and look up on Reddit for posts that relate to UF transferring specific to your major

What the chances you get in as a non priority admission student, is it a lot less than priority?
