I remember when I lost my first dog, my dad came home at like 4pm to tell me the news and I went straight to bed and told my parents to tell anyone who called me that I wasn’t available. Woke up the next day late and just got on with my day the best I could. That being said, that one almost got me.

Still at can be, no eye contact, absorbing every bit of it, and just stuck there.. forever.. usally it makes people just drone on and repeat because they think the couldnt reach you when they definitely did and it hurts, but if i laugh and joke they also dont think i get what they are saying when i definitely do but i need to cry after when we are no longer around people please 😢

Fun fact! Laughing while upset or in pain is somewhat attributed to parents or peers in adolescence laughing at a child pain or telling them not to cry- along with making them feel bad for crying, so many people feel awkward and laugh when they show upset in front of others. Even when in extreme pain, some people will laugh because their system doesn't know how to handle the pain or internalized shame for perceived weakness! :)))) (I do this, and when I learned about in in my psychology term I realized how many people I know do it too.)

i know the worst is coming for me... that video of the man seeing his mother got me going. my mother's health only getting worse each day and the reminder of that in my life when a co workers had a stroke then two other co workers had their mother and father pass all in the month of April. death is surrounding me, how long do i have left with her before she's gone and just a memory like my kitty...oh that last one got me covered in tears. I had a strong lion once, his name was velvet, fur soft as such, i remember it like it was just a moment ago. Him passing in my arms broke me for a long time a lot longer than i thought it would. he was my best friend for my childhood and my teenage years i haven't cried like this since that day, but i know the day that will beat it inches ever closer just wish i could run from it.

I think the idea of the movement is more “men should be *allowed* to cry more”. Currently, men crying are often met with harsh judgement and told they’re too soft or should just tough it out. But seeing as it’s a normal and even vital emotional response, the movement seeks to normalize men crying without being told they’re lesser for it.

If you cry, you’re called weak. If you don’t you get called heartless. I personally think it’s really cool that you showed this side of you to the internet to normalize crying at emotional things because it is normal. Don’t pay attention to anyone who insults you for having emotions.

I typically dont cry, if’s just not how my body works, but that cat video at the end almost got me. Instead of crying, I typically just feel like death and sit there staring for a good second. Here’s my final message: Cruing isn’t weak, nor does it make you weak. If you don’t cry, you aren’t heartless. People just express emotions in different ways. I literally tell my cat that every day “I love you like the desert loves rain” and that “when you die I die” I love her to much 😭

I have a 14 y/o Jack Russell terrier, so i know I'll have to say goodbye within the next few years. It's got to me this week, and I'm crying at every sad dog video. One that got to me was a short called 'your dog finally spots you in the afterlife' or something, and it made me burst into so many tears. That, and the 'I think of you all the time now that you're gone' shorts 😢

The end had me full on weeping into my cat's stomach and holding him INSTANTLY. Thank you for sharing your tears with us all, Tugg.

Yeah, I picked up my little cat, she abslolutly hates being carried. Held on through the struggling to make sure she knew nothing short of WW3 is going to make me let her go.

I was doing fine until the cat comic. I have a black cat too. I've had her since I was 5, and she turns 20 this year. Shes got some health issues right now and we may have to take her in for her last vet visit soon. Goddamnit Tugg, you got me.

Ohhh the last one got me so bad. A little over a year ago I was able to move out of a bad household but I had to leave my cat behind as I technically didn’t own her. Her name is beauty and she’s a black cat too, she has a white crescent moon on her chest and she’s a little fat, but she was my baby. She is one of the most loving animals I’ve ever owned, she’s so talkative and cuddly despite being a little skittish around strangers. She would sleep in my bed at night and often liked going under my covers to snuggle with me. I miss her so much and I’m upset I’ll most likely never be able to see her again. {I moved a couple states away}.

He does this all the time, by the way Cry, I mean Never thought of myself as one who cries, but wow, this one was sad. I didn't cry, but definitely felt welling. I miss my cat.

I love this one Tugg, I haven't shed a tear in a while. I've been going through some horrible stuff lately and I often forget, that as a man, it is perfectly OK to cry. So once again, thank you my friend ❤️

And just for more of this if you aren't familiar with the story of the two kids who got attacked by a feral dog. The eight-year-old elder brother fought the dog to save his little sister; being quoted after the fact as saying "If someone had to die it was going to be me." crying as i type this remembering that story. Thank you for this I needed it more than i thought.

I don't cry very often, but about 5 years ago I went through a depressive episode. I would sit in my bed and cry at everything and nothing, ask why I wasn't wanted in the world, why I was just different and alien-shaped in a human world. I had cried about those things before, usually when I was in elementary after some heightened bullying or something, but this was something so much more oppressive and painful. If someone walked in on me crying, or tried to ask me why I was crying, I would go into full-blown hysterics, sobbing, literal mucus falling off my face, it was that violent. So trust me when I say I know ugly criers, because I am a fuggly one. And I honestly can't tell what is worse- every single orifice in my upper half being clogged with crap as I cry ugly violent sobs, or me giggling and crying while watching Tugg giggle and sob, my entire face red and puffy as I try desperately to scrape my tears away from my face. 10/10, will find even more painful crying videos if you want. I'm like 90% sure you'd be perfect watching a cringe compliation too.
