Remember my fav pick of the draft so far Malik Mustapha. I think he'll be ready to step in when the time comes; guy is a torpedo and seems to be able to cover pretty well too!

best natural tackler I've seen in quite some time coming out of the draft. Def keeping my eyes on Malik. Once he gets some seasoning...that's a pretty dang tough safety room with Huff, Brown, and Mustapha...those 3 safety looks will be ouchy. LOL

49ers got better the moment they offloaded Wilks and his passive defense. Imagine starting Olver and Thomas and watching every opposing WR2 look like they were all pro. Now the secondary is a potential power house. On offense they’ve improved the RB and WR rooms, and have a decent shot at a consistent OL. Purdy himself is still growing in his role. Tough schedule, but this team is playoff bound

If I have to see "NO ONE IS NOTICING" "THE LEAGUE IS NOT READY" "THIS IS GOING TO BE HUGE" in every damn fans sports channel I swear to God....

Where were they supposed to find this upgrade in the o-line. They had no chance of picking in the top 12 so no they did not have a chance to upgrade the offensive line. Get some real expectations, no team is letting a great lineman go to FA. If they do there are problems with the player.

Niners still didn't address one of their biggest needs which right tackle and right guard. I think that was the weakness that was exposed when Chris Jones came through unblocked and unimpeded. in the Super Bowl. Shanahan said it himself that there was a bust in coverage. Please enlighten me as I don't see the logic at all. Somehow that sour taste in my mouth won't go away because this was the Super Bowl that was for their taking even more so than the one in 2019.

You are right, that Brendel is a pass blocking liability, but he can make difficult blocks in the run game, and he moves people. At least this must be their thinking. I would have liked to see a move on the right side myself.

@@TheBlkplague The ones they picked up I don't see them as starting caliber linemen. I believe they got picked up to compete in training camp. I will be surprised if there are changes to the starting rotation. We'll see but I don't have high hopes.

Answer... by sacrificing in the trenches and making their team worse? Good as these guys might be, a 4th and 5th receiver are not going to move the needle much

All we need is them to step up when the play calls their number. Just do the job, nothing special. The needles will move on their own

Naming literally every player on the roster and saying “and I think they’ll be able to help out… I think they’ll be able to provide depth” is kind of a cop out analysis. No one knows how good any of these rookies are gonna be until they step on the field in an NFL game.
