You can tell by looking! How to distinguish between Japanese cedar and Japanese cypress

Japanese cedar and cypress have long been deeply associated with and cherished by the Japanese people, and are representative of Japanese lumber.
Did you know that the bark of Japanese cedar (Sugi) and Japanese cypress (Hinoki) look very similar? If you look closely, you can tell the difference, but at a quick glance, it is difficult to tell them apart because they look so similar.
If you know this, you can easily distinguish between cedar and cypress.

葉っぱの形状が解りやすいね😃皮は凹凸が多いのが杉だね、桧は滑らかですね👏

いつもご視聴ありがとうございます。杉と桧は葉で見分けるのが一番分かりやすいです。枝打ちされている場合は遥か上に葉があるので、なかなか見分けることが難しかったです😅
こんなもん植えてくれたおかげで 花粉症の被害爆発。
