Todays video is a company I did a little work for a few years ago, it's a recycling company in Sheffield.
When I first got there one of the managers came out and told me I couldn't video their business, it was private property. After chatting with him for a few mins he changed his mind and became quite pleasant.

Martin put a privacy complaint in for a few seconds when he first appeared on the video, so his face is blurred for the first 30 seconds or so, then after that you can see the video as before.

The very first interaction between two people in these situations is the attempt to gain control by forcing one to answer to the other. Learning to control this initial interaction point is the artform. Authority training teaches to reply with a question. Who are you, what are are who is in charge of you. Try it.

I like recycling stuff - mostly electronics and various metal objects. I recently started collecting loads of HDPE because it makes really good body armour. It makes even better body armour if you laminate layers of it with sheets of a hard steel. BTW folks, HDPE is what many plastic bottle are made of (milk, shampoo, bleach) etc.

@@8thwonderoftheworld679 Err...There are a fair few things to be aware of but it's far from difficult. Make sure it's all nice and clean - no leftovers of what was in it, no labels, no grease, no dirt. You can mix colours.. Chop it into small bits and melt it down. Thing is, 'melted' ranges from really thick to very runny. You wouldn't have to 'melt' it much if you have access to a press or rollers - about 150-180℃. If not, you're going to need to make it quite runny and that means getting it much hotter - about 250-300℃. On the other hand, if you want to be rough about it, you can kinda fuse small bits together in a 'patchwork' by means of hot-air gun. Beware when it's hot and melty because it likes to stick to things - you and anything else it touches. It forms a really strong bond with metal surfaces - make sure they're clean if that's your intention. If you want to press, roll it or cast it, everything you don't want it to stick to is going to need an anti-stick coating - you can kinda bodge that by way of greaseproof paper and/or WD40. It shrinks as it cools so can distort if you don't cool it evenly - and you might need to allow for shrinkage. You don't have to but you you can temper your finished item by way of boiling it in water for a few mins, then just leave it to cool in the water. That's not everything but now you know where to start.

@@brianmurphy8790 YEAH yeh I get ya mate 👍 I've mended many bumpers for customers using hot air guns and got the burns to prove it OUCH❗😂 I've also seen vids from off griders who use ex propane tanks, furnaces and condensers to melt certain plastics down, so they kind of revert back to the stage where the fuel oil can be extracted to run gen sets, tractors and the like. Are they a different plastic to what u are referring to or is it all just temp based ??? Genuinely interested mate 👍✌edit; do u make the armour for PB /air soft ?

  • @brianmurphy8790

@@8thwonderoftheworld679 HDPE is the stuff to refine into diesel and petrol - you can also refine LDPE. Once heated much beyond 300℃ it's going to start giving off a lot of vapour, you need to vaporise and condense it in a zero oxygen environment for clean fuel. There are various things that can go wrong if it's not done carefully - for a start, you could end up with a lump of wax instead of diesel. Not a good idea to try refining other plastics, such as PET - nasty. HDPE armour will stop way more than pb/as - 2-3mm will keep you safe from that, but that's not why I plan to make it. A 20mm sheet is stopping many common handgun rounds and 5mm of it will stop blows from a machete or an axe. Did you know plastic chopping boards are made of HDPE? Strike plates and shooting-range targets are made of 'hardox500' (AR500) steel - it's really strong stuff. A level-3 steel strike-plate will stop most things that come out a handgun, AK47 or AR15 but bigger ap rounds will go straight through it. For protection against big ap rounds you're gonna need a level-4 ceramic plate. You could spend a small fortune on an level 3A Kevlar vest, level3 steel plate and level4 ceramic plate. BTW, ceramic plates are made of numerous individual tiles that begin to crumble when they're hit - if for any chance you ever need to, wear it under a steel plate, because there's no point weakening the ceramic tiles with 9mm or AK rounds when you might need them to stop a .308ap round coming through the steel plate. All that costs a ton of money and still only your torso is protected. Yeah, BTW, I'm making the armour for the end times.

@@BG-ef8sk yes mate 👍 a lot has been said about the bolshy boys and their lack of MANNERS and RESPECT. I'm just glad I got out awhile back before they really went feral. Now I hear they have really pissed people off. So now where's the difference between a gobby cop and a gobby civvi ??? Objective neutralised me thinks 👍✌

He put a privacy complaint in against the video, but when he put the complaint in he only specified about 3 seconds, so I did 30 seconds. If I hadn't KZread would have taken the video off. I hope this explains the reason. I actually put this as the pinned comment right at the top of all the comments

This is the part of technology (social media) which is shit! Sick & tired of crappy people going around saying, let’s see what I can find! Why? Your viewing figures are crap, your video is crap, so why? We wonder why everyone is a victim or suffering with mental health issues well here’s the answer! Crap like this! Try to do something worthwhile with your life & don’t watch this you should have something better to do like breathing or watching paint dry. Please don’t reply unless you have something constructive to say! 👍
