Christianity is based on their misunderstanding, their thinking that God requires sacrifices and their misunderstanding of Mashiach. If the rabbis and their students were learning Torah correctly, there would be no need for the army. And as for equality of bearing the responsibility: Those who don't seek the true way of Torah and those who don't learn Torah at all are not upholding their responsibility.
