It was apparently mostly improvised as well. Zendaya's "Are you ok?" was her idea in the moment. Andrew talked a lot about this scene in an interview, especially how he feels when he caught her there was a sense of disbelief in Peter. He was asking if she's okay because he wasn't sure if he actually caught her, because all he was seeing in his arms in that moment was Gwen. Powerful stuff.

The only way I believe it could've been better is if they'd done the whole zoom in on the eye thing again just to be slightly more like ASM2. Slightly more reminiscent, but then I suppose we would have his reaction without the mask. A tough toss up. Still got emotional 😭

Tobey delivered that “trying to do better” line perfectly he stayed true to his character like in his original films same goes for Alfred and William. These three will always be iconic.

If you watch the side by side comparison in 0.25x speed you’ll notice that for the most part, Tobey moves his facial muscles and eyeballs nearly the exact same way both times he delivers the line. Man has insane levels of skill as an actor.

@@garysmithfan1432 Likewise. Tobey was definitely the most mature and quirky Peter Parker. His character always struck me as the most realistic for that reason. His version of Peter Parker has the most common sense, maturity and scientific knowledge. He figured out how to stop a speeding malfunctioning train at full haul with no brakes in less than 5 minutes; He constantly put the greater good above what he wanted from his life from his first down to the third movie. On top of that, he was top of his class when he didn't have to worry about being Spider-Man, he shut down Dr. Octavius' first Fusion Reactor with his understanding of how it functions and helped to cure the Sinister Six. With that being said, he was never on time because he was constantly out performing Spider-Man duties. His version of Peter never got his cake and ate it too until the very end (presumably), and he didn't give up on being Spider-Man until he temporarily lost his powers. He stayed true to his greatest responsibility despite having almost every reason to either turn evil, or give up the mantle. And he played the role like an absolute nerd 😂 True Peter Parker right there.

It was so emotional , we all have lived our childhood once again ♥️

Yeah, it just ruined the mood, I mean, at first I was a little sad while watching the video until that part came out of nowhere

I grew up a *massive* fan of Spiderman in the early 2000s, and when I went to see this I knew nothing about it, so I was absolutely starstruck when I saw all my childhood favourites return. I was not expecting it at all. What an incredible way to wrap up the series. Been a good ride.

Did you notice One thing in most fight scenes Tom and andrew didn't wear masks because they like to embrace themselves Tom more than andrew but tobey was always masked he only unmasked himslef in front of his universe villians sandman doc oc and goblin but other than that his identity was hidden. Additionally the portal scenes were similar to this idea. Andrew entered the portal in spiderman suit and removed mask and said I'm peter parker and spiderman. But tobey said I'm peter. That shows how prepared and up to date marvel was for these past spiderman they really captured their true story arcs and didn't try to change them in any MCUish way.

Garfield's scene hits so hard for so many reasons but chiefly for me, it hits hard because Emma and his relationship was hands down the best relationship if all the Spiderman incarnation. That it ended in such a tragic way hurts, to see some closure and redemption finally brought to it years late was such a cathartic moment.

After watching this movie and all of tobey's and Andrew's spiderman movie I realised this movie is a redemption for of these webslingers because both tobey and andrew failed as spidermen such as how tobey became evil in spiderman 3 after being attached with the venom and take revenge on everyone who wronged him:eddie,jameson,Mr ditkovich, and even his own friends mj and harry but out of revenge peter realises that what he's done has also destroyed him as well his relationship with his friends mj and harry and workmate eddie and boss jameson became complicated he was detached from everyone his attempted murder of sandman also left him regreful for his actions but even taking out the venom in the church tobey still failed as spiderman because of harry's death he knows he is responsible for his best friend's death but only person he managed to save was his true love mary but the death of his best friend haunted him for the rest of his life on the other hand andrew failed by failing to stop his friend harry's transformation into the green goblin he was also responsible for max turning into a electric monster and he couldn't save the poor man but his biggest regret was gwen's death it was her death which made him weaker he lost his self-confidence,his love, I think most heartbreaking about it was tobey and andrew couldn't save the people they loved their loss of harry and gwen was their biggest failure but tobey redeemed himself by repeating the past he saved harry's father as a result of his failure of saving harry then he stopped tom from going down the same path as he once did making the one true spiderman he once was and andrew redeemed himself by saving mj as his failure of saving gwen and cured electro because was his fault too again he became the amazing spiderman this movie brought tobey and andrew their lost reputation as spidermen back

Otto speaking to Peter is like a deceased loved one talking to you again. It was really special. I hope they do something like this again. They dont know how important scenes like thid are. Its 3000 times more important then the movies topic itself. Multiversial fight and so on but this little glimpse of past and future. To be brought back to 2004 anf back again to 2021.
