I listen to these as I fight terminal illness as doctors have told me to just sit but I REFUSE to just sit and wait out my life. I’m fighting for a cause, I’ve started an NPO, I’m working my ass off and I don’t care if it takes years off my life I WILL leave this world a BETTER PLACE. I don’t care about riches or fame, give me a smile on the face of someone enduring immense sorrow, give me someone receiving the healthcare they’ve always needed, give me the touching moment someone decides to keep on fighting versus giving up. Keep the money, keep it all, my palace will be the community’s happiness. Until this world literally buries me, I WILL FIGHT.

He is 100% right about that it's not the events that break us, it's us not being prepared for those events. I used to live with negative emotion everyday. I got irritated because I was not living in reality. I started to read philosophy (stoicism) and have not screamed at anyone for a long time now. I accept the world for what it is and people for who they are. It's has nothing to do with me and I will keep working on myself all my life to not be a an angry, hateful person again. I used to blame others for how I felt and reacted but it's childish. I am a grown man.

Eric Thomas, David Goggins, and Jocko Willink have changed my life for the best. Even after serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, I have grown tremendously more after. The best word of advice is Postivie thinking, self-talk, and being driven. My favorite quote is, " Don't put off something tomorrow that can be done today." The past year and a half I have gone to my dream job as a supervisor to the Assistant Chief. We all are going to need to weather the storm but if push thru, there will be greatness on the other side. Always test yourself day in and day out. It's not easy, but it's the only way to get where you want to go.

I've had so many set backs this year. More in my whole 50 years of my life! I wasn't prepared for it. I thought I was bullet proof until 2023 hit me. I was totally shellshocked and shattered at the beginning of the year, but now I'm almost immune to any negative thing that comes my way and handle it so much easier. It also definitely makes me appreciate if I have a day with no hiccups. Totally amazing video that I can relate to.
