Bro was very excited about his new ktm 😂

Just got mine a couple of weeks ago here in Norway, absolutely love it! So much more attention to detail than on bikes like the Surron. And the throttle response is really well tuned, this thing is properly controllable. I just need to get some wheelie skills like yours 😅

Still a couple of improvements that could be made though. The display contains very little info that you would expect from an e-bike - no power consumption info, no info on temps or other diagnostics for the controller/motor. The battery indicator is very rough (100%, 70%, 50%, 30% and a few different lights as you get lower). And the battery is bolted in to the frame which would make it a pain to swap "in the field" if you have a second battery with you in your truck or similar. Oh, and the original headlight is garbage, make sure you get the LED upgrade either from KTM or an aftermarket kit :)

If you buy a ktm 690 throttle…it can respond even quicker…that’s what I use

Nice bike. When you're going 50 miles an hour in the dirt that's actually pretty good you don't need to go too much faster than that. Also I think it's funny about going into a store and coming back out without buying anything, it does feel like you ripped something off or they're going to stop you and question.

That looks amazing! Those are actually more of trails bikes so they are light enough to do tricks on! But I say it’s a weird switch from a foot brake for the rear than a lever.

I have both Segway (SurRon) and KTM Freeride E-XC. I pick the KTM everytime. It is geometry correct. The Segways wheel base is to short. The KTM leaps and bounds higher quality than the Segway.

Definitely….i just recommend the Sauron or Segway when money is the issue….for the price they are decent. We own two KTM electric and Two Electric Motion Escape R. I use the ktm for fast woods trails and the EM to go slow in technical areas.

WP is certainly quality suspension. It really shouldn't be difficult or taking this long for the big manufacturers to be making these properly imo

It's so strange "plating" a Surron is so difficult over there. In Nort Carolina I just contacted the local insurance, got it insured for $100 a year, went to the License Plate agency and got the license plate on the same day. They accepted it as a moped (30 mph limit), and my green wire isn't cut; I just use the brake method to unlock its potential when I need it so it remains legal. Great video as usual, you on your tippy toes was hilarious. It's an interesting bike - I'd take off all those corny toy colors personally but it looks great. Cheers

@@Sir-Ron Sure! When you first turn on the Surron, you pull the left brake 5 times (quick pulls all the way in) and then 1 long pull for about 5 seconds right after. That will unlock it as if the green wire was cut until you turn off the bike again.

Yes they can plate a sur-ron in ANY state. Dirt - legal is awesome they use a LLC to get your sur-ron legal. They can do it with even a side bye side utv

Hey, I used to have something similar and it actually has 6 speeds not sure if you knew but all you do is the same thing you did to get to speed 3 and it should add the bars up until they are all lit. Love ur content btw!

Those KTMs are sick but seems like a nice used Zero FX (or something from their more affordable lines) would be the ideal bike for you. Street legal, plenty of power, and they can do highway speeds. Anyway, be safe from a new Talaria owner who is having a TON of fun but man 72V is going to be amazing!

@@mannyechaluce3814 Yep that’s exactly what I did too. I just submitted the moped form and they sent me my registration and plate. I heard they are cracking down on it though, so it’s a crapshoot, but it’s worth it. Honestly it was harder for me to put insurance on it than it was to get plates lol

@@dukie1616 surron's more like a toy, not being to ride legally either on bike lane/path or on the road, some people ride it without title/registration/insurance/driving license but I don't think I would. when you have a family, thinking you can get driving license suspension/jail time and possibly worse if you have an accident, every time you hit the road will waste most of the fun you're having on it. also Sutton works better if you are built like a kid/teenager. I've reaf the next surron will be road legal though, but to get similar performance as a zero will always cost you about the same, plus no warranty and you 20+HP surron can melt the motor if your putting out peak power for more than a minute, so no highway riding.

Gr8 video Sur Ronsta! I think I'd rather have a Surron and a Talaria for the price of the KTM - I love the fact that with a Surron you can just pull out the battery relatively easily (no electric screw driver required :) and charge in 2.5 to 3 hours - but that's just my preference. Also I think that KTM will weigh in at about 100 kilos - which is still very light (my last bike was a CBR650R weighing in at about 210 kilos) It's just a pity that the KTM can only really be ridden by taller riders - this will undoubtedly cut potential sales - unless of course High Heels come back into fashion. Happy riding everyone! :)

The suspension is fully adjustable, can be lowered a considerable amount for shorter riders

Nice video. They are actually available everywhere now. Great bike. Mode 3 is amazing. The freeride is considered to be 3/4 size of a regular dirt bike.

Hawai’i sucks…. you can’t make a KTM 450 street legal or even a Free Ride or Sur Ron. But some 300lb can be in the street on a 50cc moped blowing purple smoke everywhere and screaming louder than a jet all while going 35mph….

Depending upon state. IME, if it is Titled as ‘Dirt Bike’, nothing you do will change Title to ‘Street’, not lights, not blinkers, not brake light … The workaround is the shady “register it in SD or MT” thing. In Cali, it’s so prolific that LEOs are pulling riders/drivers over, to verify their DLs are also in that state. Another practice is pulling folks over to check for DOT tires. YMMV
