    What a brilliant gift God gave Nigeria. There are hundreds of Soludos in Nigeria . As he said the problem of all these intellectual is just to advise and Poorly educated leaders will just dump all the ideas . Obasanjo was a mess despite working with all the best brains , he chose a wrong path instead of becoming the Madiba of Nigeria . God will help us and if we are lucky to have a true leader who will lead Nigeria out of these social stagnation.

  • @JOA-JADE

    @JOA-JADE

    4 жыл бұрын

    @Benrock Izurock Absolutely not Mr. I am against people like you selling lies to the simple-minded folks. Any reasonable Nigerians have no business hating any group of people, especially the Igbos. Our common enemy is the ruling class. We need a revolution indeed in Nigeria. we need true federalism that will allow each region to develop at their own pace. The type of federalism practised in Canada and Australia. The centre should be weakened and each region should manage their resources and pay tax to the federal government.

  • @JOA-JADE

    @JOA-JADE

    4 жыл бұрын

    @Benrock Izurock Hmmmmmm, I'm unsure about that though. The civil war is regrettable. I personally sided and was a supporter of the late Ojukwu of blessed memory. I think Nigeria missed the boat with the civil war and the events thereafter. We lost it when the Aburi accord was abandoned. We are yet to recover ever since. The fact of the matter is that we cannot continue to dwell in the past. I personally would wish we all go our separate ways if we cannot practise true federalism. If I could I will grant independence to the Biafran nation today and it will be a thing of joy to me if it becomes a success story. At least we would have a truly successful Black nation on earth. This is my approach to this issue. I am truly saddened by how Nigeria has turned out. Absolute waste of given talents and potential.

  • @JOA-JADE

    @JOA-JADE

    @Benrock Izurock I think I have been consistent with what I have been saying. I happen to believe we have exceptionally brilliant people among all ethnicities making up Nigeria. I personally do not believe a particular group holds the copyright of intelligence as some individuals will have us believe. It takes maleducation and maldevelopment to so reason. I will always celebrate brilliance if I see one regardless of the ethnicity of the person. It takes infantile reasoning to start ill informed comparison. It is an unwise and an unreasonable thing to do.

    All these ideas are very good, but how about the implementation? How sincerely can we implement all these ideas? The point is that we the people are the foundations of any development we wish, but most Nigerians are undisputably corrupt in all spheres of life today. From employment opportunities, to admissions into public universities, to "It it is my turn, it is our turn" to "corruption at all levels" to Lack of love to our neighbours. I made a survey severally by asking several groups of people, "which member of the group does not take "weting be my cut", "wetin be my share", "eting be our interest" and so on. When a man who enjoyed quota system or influence to enter university than his better pairs, when he becomes a professor, how will he not be partial. May God help Nigeria

    I respect greatly Prof Solido for his revolutionary ideas. However realistic his ideas are but are more of academic display, nonetheless useful insights. His brilliant ideas are good and should be tapped from. I hope he becomes Anambra State Governor to make the State a haven he aspires to. But, then, what is Soludo doing in the dead economic council instituted by PMB administration? What is doing in the council the bossman is not ready to listen and implement policy strategy papers so enunciated? It's disappointing indeed! His emphasis on institutional reforms are important; all in all, he is a senior colleague held in high esteem. But, he doesn't lay much emphasis on cost of governance the way Mr Peter Obi does. Nonetheless, his points are very apt and forward-looking.

    When will the country learn the hard lesson that nothing will ever change as long as the Fulanis, with their mindset, still force themselves on the nation as "born to rule". The topic "economic restructuring" must have come from them as against the real restructuring of the Nigerian structure advocated by many.

    For Nigeria to be well and for the outside world to see that we are really really serious about rapid growth, industrialization and economic stability we have to as a matter of urgency, start building institutions, infrastructures and adequate wealth through massive job creation.

    Prof Soludo, with your knowledge and vision, do you honestly think Fulanis understand your lingo? If they do not agree and continue to resist development of Nigeria through implementation of devolution of power / restructuring Nigeria, what stops you guys who call yourselves elites from the south from giving them an ultimatum. At the expiration of same, if they remain obstinate, then disintegration of Nigeria is proceeded forthwith
