Because I'm a pianist, I was gifted this set by a friend (who'd built and got bored with it) ....... all 3662 pieces in ONE giant bag! Took forever to build.

Having just finished this set I now know why he displays this on a cutting mat... the wheels all need to go on about 2/3 way through the build and the wheels def work! Took nearly an hour to get all the bits that fell out back in the correct place. I love this lego though and looks amazing on top of my own piano.

So you built that while thing, never once did you seem irritated, frustrated, or just plain old exhausted! I'm guessing you didn't build it in one sitting...and if you did, how long did it take you? I think I would've lost my mind trying to put that thing together!

I just stumbled across this video today, and must say that I never heard of the Lego Ideas Collection. I grew up in the 60's when you really had to use your imagination, when all of the bricks were either square or rectangular. I enjoyed watching you build the piano, and thankfully, you speeded up the video. How many hours did it take you to complete this build? Did you actually build it in one day (judging by your wearing the same shirt throughout - or was that to trick us?). Nice job! I have now subscribed to your channel 👍

I built mine in 3 days, i tried to build at a slow pace as I like to enjoy my expensive toy, it just wasn't that complicated. It was really a great build and I love the looks of it. Well wroth the cost.

@@kimlarson3901 That's awesome, Kim. Building it would be at least half of the fun. The kit looks like it was well-planned. I loved LEGO when I was a kid, as well as assembling model kits of cars, airplanes, and ships. My health and eyesight has deteriorated to the point where I no longer do too many crafts. Enjoy your piano!

Yeah, I hate that everyone says "You can actually play it!" But only play along with certain songs and you can press any key. A shame that you can't actually play it yourself.

The only bad thing is it only play the song and each piano key doesnt have a tone. although its a beautiful figure for the collectionist.

Does the piano emit any sounds, or is it only through the iphone? Can anyone download the app to their phone w/o buying the piano?

Okay for 400$ you should be able to play each individual key and not just press them like for 400$ is how much my electronic piano costs and look I’m not hating on Lego just because it’s Lego I love Lego I even bought the Stratocaster as that’s the guitar I actually have and that’s expensive but I love it

Was waiting to see how they figured out how to make it playable with just one sensor. I reach the end of the video and surprise, you can’t actually play it, just pretend playing it. What a letdown

That's silly. The piano sounds are coming from the iPhone. If the iPhone volume was turned down all you would hear is plastic clicking noises. So its not a musical instrument, its plastic Legos.

It’s a plastic model. I hate to break it to you but you can’t actually drive the LEGO cars or save the universe in the LEGO Millennium Falcon either.
