This is absolutely majestic to hear. I’m glad to see people preserving the experience in mainline as well

this year is golden for monster hunter fans! is so awesome that we are able to play that content again!

Capcom needs to realease an Anthology collection for PC and consoles that includes at least MHG, FU, 3U, 4U & GU. Dos and 3rd could be DLC considering they'll have to localize them. They could use this as an official release to give them more development time for a future MH title

As long as it doesn't comes with full price and have some adjustment's I would love it, I think U$30 or below would be a cool price

A remaster of the 1st gen games would be insane. As much as I love World & RISE I always go back to the ps2 titles for the nostalgia and atmosphere these games hold. They are complete different games.

Hey man, I just saw your channel and I thought it was REALLY cool! I'm another small MH KZreadr that focuses on Gen 1 and 2 (and Frontier while it was up), and I feel like there aren't enough of us. Classic MH has its own appeal, but it's very niche and not very accessable. I personally would love to make a spritual successor to Gen 1 and 2, a Classic MH-styled game for the modern day, one without the BS that made it annoying sometimes, and with its weirder features expanded upon. We should do something together, like a stream or a collab or something.

It is supported now. The devs worked out the issues they were facing, so you can now go to Loc Lac using a wii

oh my god I wanna cry, this is beautiful overall mh2 dos and 3tri(the most common way to play is patch for replace village missions for high rank), with others we have been conformed with the few ways for psp MH en ppsspp and citra emulator and at that steps we lose original experience especially mh2 dos because is unique in his type(1 and 3 is almost identical in his psp and 3ds versions inclusive de mhp3rd is a really god version for 3rd gen and 2gen MHFU is more like mh4u)

😩I’m so late to this, I really miss this aesthetic of MH so much.

This is really cool and I wonder what the devs think of this stuff...To see their work so loved that the community puts in work almost equivalent to what they did to bring it back.

I played this game in 2002 and since then i have fallen in love with it now im 38 years old and a father to a 4 year old boy still love this game, all though havent played the MH2 and so on bechouse ITS difficult to find the English version in my country i hope i could play it a gain

Not sure if I missed it, but is there anywhere you can go back to Jumbo Village from the Town and vice versa with this patch? Or do I need to go back to the main menu?

In order to do it consistently, you’ll need to head back to the menu, some of the patch versions are glitched and let you head back after certain quests, but they aren’t reliable.

Hi! I dont know if you will see this but is this still the case? As in MH1 2 and 3 PSP Games And the 3DS Games Are they all still available as you said when this was uploaded? Also are the 3ds ones Ultimate and those games? Many questions sorry. Just really bummed I havent been able to play the older MH games

So a few things have changed since this video was uploaded, mostly for the better, but a bit worse for some titles. So the PS2 titles still have servers, Dos is still in development, but with the cheat mentioned you can access most of the online content early (though in a slightly altered state). The MH2 server should be out fairly soon. Monster Hunter Tri has launched the multiplayer functionality on its server, so you can now play with friends. The PSP games are basically the same, but I didn’t realize that Ad-Hoc Party was still functioning, so if you have a PS3, you can use that to port forward/play with others as well. The 3DS titles haven’t changed much either as far as I am aware, though you can also use the WiiU/Cemu for 3U if you want. The only downside is the 3DS online store is down, so you’ll need to get a physical copy if don’t have them and want to play legally.

Does the mh1 online team really plan to finish the patch? I still remember that hardcore fan that made a weebly page with a unfinished translation, but the fan added multiple patches as time went on, this Madlad even added a g-rank patch by them self! But the actual translation was never finished...

There are a few people working on different patches, but the MH1 team has someone who's been working on one (they've taken a break from it recently though). And yeah Burango did some serious work for MH2, even with his limited coding knowledge, it's very impressive.

Apparently they've got it working on the Wii now, otherwise you could use custom firmware to export your save data to PC (I did, and my old saves work with the server)

If I am not mistaken, I think the Wii U servers are still up. Granted the original hardware has frame pacing issues, so some people prefer Cemu, it’s a decent alternative. From what I’ve seen it requires more setup to go online the Citra, but considering I haven’t delved into it yet, the original servers are/were still up, and Citra enables you to play not only 3U but the fourth gen games, I chose not to add it to list.

You should be able to run Tri on a Wii U if you have the vWii app. I used a WiiU to capture footage from Tri earlier

4U has always had online with a 3DS iirc, but as far as I am aware, 3U can only be taken online through Citra and the Wii U. You might be able to pull some port forwarding shenanigans for local to be online with the 3DS, but I don't know of any communities that have done it yet.

You can get them off of places like Amazon, E-Bay, etc. if your computer has a disk drive and you’ve already done the emulator setup, both pcsx2 (ps2) and dolphin (Wii) allow you to use the disk without needing to extract the image.

The city was a lot more open and bigger compared to a lot of other hubs, and for the most part has been really hard to access in recent years because when the official servers shut down years ago, loc lac too went down with it, it was inaccesible for a long period of time and the only sort of ways we could see it were old youtube videos

That and, when 3U came out, Loc Lac was replaced with Port Tanzia Minegarde and Loc Lac are only accesible in their respective debut game (MH1 / MHG For Minegarde, MHTri for Loc Lac.) With the servers shut down, It was impossible to access to the online citirs, but also to the Hub content too (Basically half of the content was locked behind these cities.), And those Quests includes Monsters like Kirin and Fatalis in MH1, and Monsters like Alatreon, Jhen Mohran and Event Quests for MHTri Loc Lac Is not only a memorable location, Is also the parte where most of the MHTri content is located

I’d like for that to come back for the Wii U tbh, 60fps and improved graphics would be a pretty nice touch. 3ds never had servers, only local play (twas a difficult grind)

I can't make the tri servers. The altwfc.cfg file won't open despite python 2.7 and twisted being installed.

You can, on 3DS using Citra, just the same way as 4U. It's even easier since you don't need to patch it(There is none for 3U).

Currently yes only the PS2 version, Monster Hunter G for the Wii uses a server similar to Tri’s, but nobody is developing it yet.

You can access the online content now (the town, quests, ect.), but it's still played offline. There is a server in the works, but it's not out just yet, so no multiplayer/events

At least till we get some upgrades for the servers, at least that part of the game is playable now

Citra doesn't really work well. Tried both 3U and 4U on Citra but I keep breaking off from the group. Best to just stick with 3DS online for 4U and WiiU online for 3U. Also both 3U and 4U have issues on citra, with 3U requiring a cheatcode to cap FPS or else it runs terribly, and 4U will require you to also dump an update file from your 3DS and install it so you can use a cheat code to disable 3D.

Per Monster Hunter e Monster Hunter G c'è un server discord con delle patch in inglese. Lo possono usare sia chi gioca su console che su emulatore. Per Monster Hunter 2 c'è un cheat code per l'emulatore della PS2 che attiva le funzioni online. Tuttavia da quanto ho capito funziona solo con determinate missioni. Per Monster Hunter Tri ci sono server compatibili con emulatori della WII,ma si pianificano server anche per hardware ufficiale. Per i giochi su PSP(Freedom 1,2,Unite e Portable 3rd) si possono usare server online e per i server privati basta usare un VPN. Esiste anche una community con il loro network a cui ti puoi collegare che gioca a tutti i giochi di MH portatili che si chiama Hunts Traverse. Per i giochi su 3DS(3U,4,4U e Generations),basta usare i server su Citra,ma non funzionano alla perfezione. Tutti gli altri giochi(Generations Ultimate,World,Iceborne e Rise)hanno online ancora attivi quindi divertiti.
