@@kukitali when they first debuted. Their label wasn’t rich so Mamamoo did their own makeup from the show. They choreographed dances themselves. They rented a van along with their CEO so five of them went to the broadcasting station.

I believe it's because they are vanguards in kpop, and as vanguards, being revolutionary and the first to do new things are really prone to be criticized as we saw throughout art history, since they are creating stuff unheard of, and usually just takes a little time for others to understand or follow - which is another side of them that makes me even more proud as they are true trendsetters in the industry ✨

And don't forget about the legendary Blue Dragon Awards 2016 when Mamamoo shooketh the audiences by being the first girl group doing their ad-libs that incorporate lines from the iconic movies into their performance. It's such a bold move that their witty refreshing performance break down the walls of all seriousness and tension that this event always notoriously held. Mamamoo is golden! 😭

I'm fuming when ppl intentionally ignore Mamamoo when talking about Killing Voice, like?? The whole program will literally nonexistent if its not for Solar 🙄 (and tbh, it wouldn't be as popular if Moomoos did not start to recommend it to everyone who wants to take a quick look at Mamamoo's discography, which in turn, sparks other fandom to start asking the same thing for their group to Dingo as a part of promotion) Also, for Immortal Song, before Mamamoo happened, its practically impossible for a kpop idol to win it as a full group. The show even reluctant to INVITE idol groups (cuz lets be honest here, at that time, the audience which consists mostly of South Korean general public, often looked down upon idol group esp when it comes to live performances, which this show is so focused on). Maybe if they perform as a soloist (often the main vocal of the idol group) it would be possible to participate or even win, but to perform as an entire group?? Yeah, Mamamoo is the first kpop group to win, and the ONLY girl group. And tbh, I'm not surprised if Mamamoo became part of the reason why Immortal Song changed their perspective on kpop idol and start inviting more idol group as a whole. Just look up the episode before and after Mamamoo join in and see how diffrent the amount of idol group that actually participate on the show. So, yeah, yall better be saying thank you, Mamamoo~ 😌

Tbh, mamamoo is the one who opened the chance for other idol group to be able to perform in immortal song tho, like all other trend that happen bcuz mamamoo, they are the setter but were not acknowledged by audience. However, the caster, director or people that involves with the industry sure realize the impact of mamamoo so they immediately take that chance to implied what mamamoo do because the support and people reaction towards what mamamoo do.

Best group I have ever seen.

and as i observed along these years, solar was the first artist that introduced the pole dance as i knew and did it live on MAMA, the confidence yet sassy and dgaf what other says outfit by hwasa (the iconic red one), and the not so unserious dance practices. this is what mamamoo cant be replace with other ggs ever. they stole my heart since first.

I love that Whee In introduced being in another company as a soloist but still remains part of MAMAMOO. Thinking back on how many 2nd gen groups could have kept going if it was more flexible like that. The alternative universes I think about all the time. Why didn't it happen sooner?Legendary. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Met people from other states and even Mexico. The energy was fantastic, when they came onstage it was so emotional. I hope they come again soon and more people experience it.

If i ever heard mamamoo, my first thought is they're powerful and sexy.

When Hwasa was braless and netizens criticized her, and the group made HIP. When the group performs HIP and jaws were dropping, Hwasa wore a devilish red skin tight suit which deemed too sexy. Also Hwasa the epitome of loving yourself in the movement of setting her beauty standard as HERSELF. Yas queen. I love Mamamoo in general but they made a lot of breakthroughs that considered “not conservative enough” for Netizens.
