I love Soo-jin too but Soo-ah who is often misunderstood by people is my favorite. Good female second leads from start to finish are just too rare to find. By the way, my latest discovery for this category is Kang Cheong-ya from Snowdrop. She is just cool and selfless at the same time.

There always questions for me, why SECOND LEAD MALE always get love from the audience, while Second Lead Female always get trash and their present always make people mad. NJ from Our Beloved Summer is one of the few better writers for Second Female Lead, she still inserted in the story but also had her own life and storyline without the main character

It hurts, but needs to be realized he was never yours in the 1st place never will be even in an alternate universe...sometimes we just think to say it out loud I'll always wait in the place you left me but maybe a tiny amount of love for yourself or the painful realization you'll hate yourself and inturn him even if he comes back. I agree. My favorite one was Kim Hwa Gun from The Emperor: Ruler of the mask. She never did any evil plans, she sacrificed a lot, like literally everything that even the female lead can’t be compared. And at the end, she even chose to die while protecting him.💔

at first I always thought they were evil because they were trying to steal the guy, but with maturity I realized that they were just in love and wanted happiness. I wish there will be more Kdrama that have a happy endings for both leads

Especially Crash Landing on You, not just the second female lead but also second male lead. I cried so hard when Gu Seung-joon died in the end. Literally the only problem I have with such a fantastic show, just wished him and Seo Dan could live out their lives happily together.

olivia literally made that song for second FLs haha. i literally love the second leads just as much as i love the first leads. people always say they love the second male leads, but I always love the second female leads and think they also deserve better too just as much as the second male leads do too.

The most misunderstood here is gotta be Soo Ah,,,, Itaewon Stans love to thrash her for real. I just don't understand how they can't praise Yi Seo without thrashing Soo Ah. My girly was strong, honest, capable, looked out to herself deservedly.

Yes, she was the most relatable character in real life too out of all the character in the drama. I always rooted for her. She was strong, she survived on her own... how can people hate her when her options was so clear!!! Glad that she was happy at the end but she almost begged for love, just made me sad.

that is why kdrama was often a top notch because they are great in casting the second lead also and gave their own memorable remarks to the viewers

I just realised that when we watch the series, we already have the perfect idea of a happily ever after that we dont recognise the pain of the second female lead😭😭💔

I think seconds lead are strong and powerful, they have gone through so much hurt, yet they are still standing. We can’t always force ourselves to love someone who doesn’t love us. I wish that second leads can understand and try to find their own happiness even though it won’t be easy. This way will be able to let themselves go and try to find happiness.

I totally relate to this because I'm myself a second lead in my own love story. It hurts pretty much but the first male lead never realises the worth of the second female lead, he always give priority to the first female lead. All the sacrifices made by the second female lead are always overlooked and her feelings always become a joke. She deserves more. She has a heart too and it hurts her too. T_T

My favorite second lead was the one from Mr. Queen. While I did hate her at the start for being so assuming, I really love how she accepted the fact that the King is in love with the Queen. I love her for that, she let the King go because she knows that the Queen will give him happiness. I highly recommend this K-Drama. It's also comedy in some sort. A guy from the future was in a coma and his soul got transferred in the past while his body is sleeping but the thing is, he got transferred in a woman's body, which is the Queen. Funny thing is he even had a crush on the second lead.
