Hi Andrea- I love + appreciate your videos so much. I just graduated with my associates degree within interior design and feel that my education lacked teaching me design software. I was taught Revit but focused mainly on designing the structure of a building and not how to use it for developing the interior, inputting furniture pieces from FF & E or working with materiality. I'd love to see how you work with Revit, AutoCAD or other programs you use to create 3D interior renderings for your designs. Thanks! :)

Hi there, for 3d models I use sketchup. I think revit is more for architecture and not so good for interior design and designing every room in detail.

Hi! The school that I study at is called British Columbia institute of Technology in Vancouver, I highly recommend!

how you add your translate on your videos

Hi Andrea, I would like to know how important it is to study Architecture if you want to be an interior designer. Here in India, most interior designers are architects. It really discourages me to take up interior designing. It's not like I can't or don't want to study Architecture, but I am in my mid thirties...a little too late to learn the ancillary stuff just to get to what you really want to do. But my understanding is that architects always have an advantage over interior designers...

Hi there, well it depends on which country you are, in Canada or USA you don’t need to study architecture if you want to be a designer. But India regulations may be different. Also if there are designers that are also architects not always means that you have to study architecture, you may want to do some research to find our it it’s mandatory :) hope that helps

Yes you can, I know of designers who graduated with diploma and have their own design firms.
