Chad, in the Philippines, off-roading is popular here because we have an abundance of remote off-roading locations throughout the country. Overlanding has also been making a scene here because we also have a lot of overlanding trails that lead to perfect campsites. But before reaching there, you will go through muddy terrain, cross rivers, etc. We Filipinos love the thrill and fun of going on adventures and going to places we haven't been to. That is why overlanding is popular here, not because we don't have decent hotels in the provinces. We usually go in with big groups so that if someone gets stuck, the other one can easily pull him out.

When did "Overlanding" get traction over there? back in 2010's the "offroad look" was pretty popular, jacking up the trucks and putting huge rims.. 5yrs later.. you can see more real offroad worthy vehicles, by that I meant, people can actually offroad in them, not curb appeal.. last time I was there in 2018. . "Overlanding" wasnt even a thing... hell that term was just gaining traction in the US.. it was just called Offroading/wheeling and camping, nothing more. Also alot of the "overlanding" trails in Philippines are just very primitive unpaved roads that leads to the remote barrios or sitios where only karitons and motorcycles can pass through. Now the Overlanders go thru there and start tearing up the path and adding deeper ruts along the way. I'd hate to live on those areas.

Its also because we have super bad roads in metro manila
Love the way they are trying to look busy on camera while remaining silent so you can do the video. Cool cars.
That's one clean and very busy shop. Nice of them to keep the noise down while you were vlogging. 👍
Nice truck builds. Philippines is an awesome place to visit.
Hi Chad! Off-road vehicles are popular here because there are plenty of popular places in the Philippines that can only be reached by these vehicles. It's either you go through a poorly maintained road or a literal dirt road (sometimes mud, too!) I live further up north in Zambales and there are a lot of off-road trails and mountain paths here. There's even lahar here that's been left by the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in the 90's which is now a popular destination to test out your off-roading skills. Another reason why people love these vehicles is that generally, roads in the Philippines are shitty. Imagine driving your sedan at speed in the middle of the night then a pothole comes out of nowhere. Now, imagine that 100x over. Those kinds of problems are virtually non-existent with these vehicles. Also, it rains a lot in the Philippines and there are a lot of places here that have very poor water/flood management so we experience flooded streets and highways every year. These vehicles don't have much problem handling floods unlike a sedan or an MPV.
About the accomodations yes but if you're not picky in rooms many offers good enough, but in overlanding they literally used that cars in mountains for camping etc. peace
Next vlog please visit "Fitment Engineering" the best Airsuspension builds in the Philippines.
you must go to shock point in Thailand, and you'll see the true off-road madness in Thailand. recommended
Overland Kings would be a more overlanding focused shop in the Metro. You may want to check them out Chad!
I never realised off roading was so popular in the Phillipines, a great video and some really nice rigs.
I’ve been to Atlanta.
Have you meet Angie Mead King?. She got some nice collection of supercars.
They stopped selling the fj cruiser in 2014 the said part is there still asking 40k for a 2012. Keep up the great work and videos you are always shocking me with all the amazing vehicles and places. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks for another CB 1 Take Chad! As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇

We have found the Autobot's hideout! Decepticons... attack!!!!
Super cool what a nice shop!
Hi Chad on the FJ what you call the bumper bar is what we in australia call a bull bar or roo bar, there are a must have for protection against wild life and one is australian made by ARB who make a big range of off road accessories.
Imagine putting the tire shine on a 14 inch wide, love the attempted blend from sidewall to tread haha. Great variety of rigs, the new rangers have such a nice style.
Oh my god the 22r was an indistructible motor. Chad a great 1take video.
With motorcycles, adv bikes are also very popular here, and just like with ranger raptors, and other 4x4s. These offroad machines are mainly used to go to starbucks or malls. I guess roads here are so UTTERLY SHIT that long travel, comfy trucks and bikes are preferred over sedans.
A lot of place doesn't have a hotel, motel that can accommodate you of you wanna dig in the scenery and it's better to sleep in your vehicle or camp out.
Awesome. I’m only a minute in and I’m thankful.
Overlanding set ups are very popular in the Philippines its because it always floods and lifted rigs would be very useful
Morning, Chad. Nice video.
That shops looks awesome.
can't wait chad moto vlog here at Philippines
The new Toyota Hilux “GR” are very nice.
The FJ with an Australian ARB Bull Bar on it - first time I've seen them overseas

All I see in my Facebook feed in Thailand is beefed up 4x4 lifted trucks for sale.

Not crazy at all Chad, and i am soo happy to hear that people are beating the system and ridding the globe of e-vehicles; brilliant news
I'm in California and a few weeks ago I saw a hilux down the street from the Mexican consulate - I almost lost my sh
Really like that cb media shirt but would be so much better if the us flag was facing the wrong way. I wish people would pay more respect to the American flag as with all other countries.
We’re not far from your hometown chad. Spartanburg sc.
I drive past the Doha location every morning going to work.
👍👍
Seems like a really high end shop ,just pulling off that mustang swap is something most places wouldn't even attempt let alone a offroad shop.
It does make sense, campers will be campers.
2013 was the last year for the fj
The off road scene in Thailand is massive. There are even pc games made about the off road scene in Thailand. Games name is "Off-road drive". Most of the off roading is inthe north, Isan, Kanchanatburi, and the south of Thailand. Not in bkk and parraya
They really liked you didnt they. I can see the permit. 😊👍
wait untill you see the street racing scene
They quit selling the FJ’s in 2010 also can you buy the front end kit for the new off road Ranger

Check TTN Hypersport in Thailand. They have conversion kits for old Ford Ranger into new Ranger Raptor, last and previous generation F150 and they are working on a Bronco look that is very promising. Cost is between THB100,000 to 200,000.
It's a FAKE SNAKE 😂
FJ Cruisers only just stop in oz too. Someone will know exactly 🤓
I didnt know they had Free Mason off road shops!?!? Especially in the Philippines

Whats exciting is to collab with angie king's supercars.
looking forward to see you in Manila Auto Salon at mall of asia also you might want to visit ATOY customs
Vehicle modification in Singapore is illegal. So you’ll see a lot more super cars than JDMs; despite them being very expensive. Probably as expensive as Thailand, if not more. You’ll need to obtain. Certificate of Entitlement (COE) before you can purchase a car. The CEO alone costs an average SGD100k.

Many modifications are illegal if they have not gotten through approval by the Land Transport Authority. However many cars in Singapore have illegal modifications, especially loud exhaust. The presence of expensive cars in not due to modification ban but because there is a lot of super rich people. The COE reached SGD150,000 last month. Crazy😢
Are there any off roading events going on out there?
Hey Chad what's up
Another shop called Autobot? Guess there is a lot of transformers fans who decided to open a shop.

there's lots of that in the Philippines.... but that's what they like to customize their vehicles with.. they like flashy things.. showing money is a thing there...
The mustang will never be a gt 500 unless it went to Shelby America .it will be a fast mustang just not one with the Shelby tags they put on it and I've heard if you call Shelby America they can send a person out anywhere with all there parts and do it where you live. Love the videos and hello from oakland ca usa
Why your videos is so short bro ?
I apologize Chad, I cannot sit through the minute long conversations KZread makes us watch unless we pay their tax

LOL..... He thinks people like to overland because the hotels suck.... That's some serious city boy mentality. Have you ever considered that driving off-road is fun and spending a few nights in remote areas away from the city is actually very enjoyable?
Sorry I'm unsubscribing to all that I follow on KZread! The abuse of entrusted power for private gain is costing me my rights as a US. citizen. I'm done.
If you want offroad or overlanding in Philippines collab with @jec episodes
A full hoist but using a mechanics creeper and laying under the FJ Cruiser?? If the hoist is so lightweight it needs a top brace which I assume restricts the height I sure as shit wouldn't be laying under it.....cool shop and cars though and to quote the mighty Chad "sick" but where are the little track models😊
Got to have V6 or v8, 4 cylinders just is not enough and burns out. My Experience.
That white ford with the Mud Grapplers is sick, I have the same on my new 4” inch lifted jeep. You can drive over anything with those lol.
