Being honest, your play style can't take advantage of this ship. :) The power of this ship is that it is the OG DD YOLO. The number of torps and reload allows for taking 2-3 capital ships before you die. It is a savage close-quarters monster using guns AND torps. I often get 15-20 torp hits and 2-3 kills. Yes, I often die, but it wins games.

"Not a great boat?" The Death Pickle/Log of Doom/Commie Canoe is a FANTASTIC Tier 5 DD. It can outgun most other DDs, you can citadel a high number of cruisers with the AP, and you can very frequently ambush BBs at that tier and obliterate them with the wave of torpedoes coming out of your smoke while using engine boost (and/or using island cover as well). I absolutely love to play this boat any time I feel like I need a confidence boost game.

"Death Pickle" I've heard of the other two names and also other ones like the War Canoe and Banana Boat, but that's a new one.

I’m glad you got to this one, haha! The War Canoe is my go to "it’s been a bad day in wows, so let’s just go goof off at low tier." Setting up ambushes, either for DDs or CLs with the guns, or BBs with the torps, is just a blast. Seriously, even though they’re short range, 12 torps on ~40 seconds cooldown can do some work, and with some good island usage, you can play almost like a budget Paolo. Also, while it’s long, the freeboard is so low that it allows you to avoid a lot of damage. It’s a shame Wargaming decided that it doesn’t need ASW, though, especially when you get 2 or 3 subs in a match.

Like you said, I totally wanted to mention that he underplayed the power of the torps. They might be short range but they are brutal, you can launch them forever with almost battleship guns reload times at its tier with nearly Shima torp counts.

Gotta love the Doom Canoe. It is a great ship, if you realize it's quirks. Great gun power. LOTS of torps, for Yolo Emilio style rushes...

Ahhh the Russian party boat, once in awhile for a goof we would run a triple div of those while Keviseeb blasted the Miami Vice theme on stream.

Love this ship, terrible turning circle for a canoe though :), seens as you're looking at Tier V, Torp/Speed build Minekaze with Yamamoto, get good MM with no CV and this ship is devastating with it's high speed and 7km 70 knot Torps every 30 seconds, one of my favorites lol. Gremyashchy is dang fun as well. Thanks for the great content and have a good weekend PQ :)

The fight with the Scharnhorst is definitely the most exciting wows content I’ve seen in a while.

Don’t give up,on t5-t6 ships. actually more fun then higher tiers try the Marblehead

Ambush predator. Hide behind an island, speed boost in and dump ALL the torps. Just don't turn.

Can you please make a video on how to play/ pick position for the de moins line. Like what Island to pick, when to leave/ push. And a guide on the French " Heavy Cruisers" that have paper thin armour. Would double rudder to better for dodging shells, and propulsion mod with concealment. And maybe how to aim when the ship you're shooting using double rudder to Dodge shells. Thx

Th mighty Danger Canoe!! One of my favourite ships for just logging in and having a laugh. Its not competitive or META, but always fun.

I just wonder why people claim subs are balanced when you can hit one with a 13k damage ship-launched torpedo, and instead of one-shotting it, you instead deal 10% damage and it keeps diving.

I goty Ohhotnik for free in some container and its my only DD and I'm BB main with some cruisers. I woudlnt say that destroyer is easy being sooo loong and with poor turret traverse but for sure its fun :P now I consider doing some rusisna tech DD jsut ot use captain. Okhotnik is fun. It doesn't turn well but count the guns. Short-range torps but if you can get close there's enough to guarantee a kill. The reload is annoying but it has smoke. I have more good games than bad for sure.

Hi Potato! How do You have such a good quality of graphic? I have RTX 3070 Ti and max graph options and my game looks much worse.

While it IS primarily a Gunboat, you also have 12 TORPEDOS! You get close enough to actually use them or someone rushes you down, they are gonna die and their is no dodging that. Amusingly its one of if, not the ONLY ship with NO asw whatsoever. Even Wargaming be like "Where would you even put Depth Charges on this thing?"
