    Just real quick. I know I've been stressing that everyone see a derm to understand their skin BUT it can be really expensive for people who don't have insurance. I really loved Curology which I used for a year and if you have general texture and pimples it's an amazing option! ❤️

    That new nose contour technique is actually genius. It makes a lot of sense and that's actually the reason i think that blush on the bridge of the nose became so popular in the past years; it sets that area back in space and brings the tip foward and makes it look "swoopy" like you said

    I just started using tretinoin about almost two weeks ago and I have been able to use it everyday. I've had peeling but no irritation. I've using the Dr. Jart ceramidin liquid, sheet masks, and Cicapair serum and I find it helps alot to avoid irritation. Also, try putting Vaseline or cerave healing ointment around the eyes, sides of the nose and corners of the mouth to avoid the tretinoin from traveling to those areas and causing irritation.

    What I coincidence I’d stumble across this comment, after recently having read and since been toying with the idea of using the Cetaphil Healing Ointment as more or less a naturally highlighting dewy skin balm in high points. Have you utilized it for this similar purpose and if so, found good results?

  • @mariatapia5122

    @mariatapia5122

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@melodramatique HI!👋 I have not used the healing ointment for that purpose. My skin is oily so I cannot use it during the day. I started using tretinoin for my blackheads and my derm said it would help with oil production but since I just started, it hasn't done anything for that yet. Therefore, I need to use more oil free or non-heavy products during the day. Although, I find that when I use the healing ointment around my eyes when I apply tret at night, the next morning my eyes look more supple and I think it has to do with it being occlusive due to the petrolatum but also the hydrating ingredients of hyaluronic acid and ceramides. Eventhough is lightweight, it's still to heavy for me during the day.

    Spot treating tret flaking with a facial oil is pretty effective. I'd forgotten about it until Dr. Dray mentioned it recently. I used squalane because it is lightweight & easily absorbed. Then I'd blot off when I was ready to do my make up. Skin would appear much smoother.

    You influenced me to try the Revlon Colorstay Foundation and I love it. I have tried 3 other foundations and this one worker best for me. Plus it’s a total bonus that it’s affordable. I will continue to watch your channel for more tips. You rock

    Cle de Peau...”clay” as in bentonite, “duh” as in no shit, “poe” as in says the raven never more. 🖤 I do use the CDP concealer and it does an amazing job, it’s almost too heavy for me, but it does last forever. I use this with Valmont de Glaciers foundation and it’s a killer combo, underneath growth factor serum, retin A, and Auteur’s Definitive Density cream (I believe this was about 350$). I found that Auteur looked very similar to Medical Beauty Research products, such as the Liquid Surgery Serum, but Auteur is less expensive and actually works much better. Highly recommend. This is probably the best skin care product I’ve ever used. Another excellent product by Auteur is the Composition No. 1 serum, which is about 1k$ but still far less expensive than MBRs Liquid Surgery (which is like 1900$-something).

    I too have crocked side of the nose and constantly try to figure out the best way to match it to the other side. I know my theory but I still try different shapes, bc I like to experiment

I can't stand certain tones of voice and yours is great. PS: nose looks great and my middle of nowhere ass would love a drug store version of this.

    have you tried slugging? it’s putting something thick like vaseline or the cerave healing ointment all over your eyes and around your nose and lips/mouth as a final step to help prevent peeling!

    RE: peeling from the tret. I started getting peeling around my eyes after I started using retinol (1%). What I found helps is to apply a super super super thin layer of Aquaphor on top of my skin care at night before I go to bed. I just pat a tiny tiny bit into my skin and it really helped with the peeling. YMMV of course and not everyone's skin will like something that occlusive on top of their skin care, but I'm very very light handed and it doesn't cause any breakouts.

    Revlon colorstay was my go to for years. But…over the past few years they changed the formula. It’s more liquid, covers less, and doesn’t have the,”flex” aspect to the product. My make up never used to transfer when I used the earlier formulation. I just tried it again after 2 years, and had these same negative issues. I think because you’re young, and your skins texture is what it is, I could see how the less pigmented, thinner product would be okay. I’m a mature skin type now, stinks, but it is what it is. Beautiful outcome as usual! 🥰
