I am a student and I have observed one thing that reading books before lecture help us to improve our understanding because while reading there is no one to help you out. So, we (specially I) take it as a challenge to understand that concept coz studying something without understanding it properly hits my ego.

Yes, totally makes sense. Until 10th I used read every chapter before it was going to start in School or Coaching. Reading it beforehand helped me look at it through a different stand point. Helped me Understand it better and didn't need to revise it a lot either, I could easily memorise.

At the start of 11th I also used to feel , "wah! kya socha hai", I had that fascination in me. I used to think " kya main ye discover kar sakta tha". But after seeing so much exam based studies I just took everything for granted and left the amazement behind. Its the end of 11th, and again I want that fascination towards science back in me. Thanks.

bro this is what exactly happened with me, I choosed science (PCB) as my stream because i was interested in science when i changed my school after class 8th in my new school class 9th i had a friend with whom i use to talk about science subject he was genuinely interested in the subject like me but in class 11 i changed my school again and i choose science as my stream i expected that in science stream i would find people genuinely intersted in the subject but to everyone in this school the study was nothing just a burden i joined coaching in class 11th class

Also I think that the interest in any subject or topic depends on how the teacher teaches or explains it. Though that might only measure up to the 20-30% of helping form the interest but the remaining depende on the students themselves. If you have to learn it, Do it at your best....

Chalo mene kuch kiya ho na kiya ho, I've been following this since my 8th/9th Std, asking doubts which people generally never asked (why is this happening, how its derived etc [ I love derivations ] ), and yes if I ever feel distracted toh I just cannot continue with a lecture and due to this a 2 hr lecture sometimes takes the whole day for me, because I always do lectures / listening very attentively and if that equilibrium is ever disturbed, I am unable to continue.

I remember when I was in 10th our teacher was explaining brain and we have already covered magnetic effects of electric current so while studying I came to know that there is electricity flowing in our brain for communication and through that I came to a conclusion that then there should be magnetic field around us also and then we should be emitting some form of em waves and then it reminded me of a video on discovery channel that how Egyptians were able to go through the whole pyramid without any tor he's or lamp or something like that because there was no mark giving evidence of fire or combustion happening in the pyramid so they came to a conclusion that they when entered such a dark place they navigated with the help of the light that their bodies emitted . At that time I thought what a ridiculous conclusion it is but that science class made me rethink my perspective.

So, When I began to watch pw classes in KZread, I used to study kinematics with a perspective that " I must understand this or else it will be difficult for jee mains". But, when I study the remaining topics in physics, I was like " Whatever happens, is chapter ko aaj hi complete karna hai". And I think you know the difference between understanding a topic and studying the same topic like chitti robot.

I followed it in Class 10 previously and now I don't need to remember any formula of area , volume , surface area . Cause now I know how the mathematician derived them.

I also think the same way as you think. I spend most of my time in 11th and 12th thinking applying formula in my real life situation what is physics and math is for and my understanding in physics and math is strong I can't live a live without it. And some crazy idea will appears in my mind to do BHOOM 💣 And opposite 😅 side affects is I was not prepared for jee I am now dropper.

Yes visualization helps a lot...my physics teacher always keep telling me this and i have really improved my physics nd chem...but it doesn't work for maths...maybe that's why my maths is weak.

Deep involvement can make happen learning process in magical ways. You will naturally remember more if you're deeply involved while learning. You won't have to enforce learning upon you. Perspective influences involvement. An inquisitive Mindset will be far more involved than a bare Mindset. To get an inquisitive Mindset, bring in the curiosity and visualize everything you're studying in as many ways as you can. Visualize everything in great depths. (But don't go on to research everything. Jee is about other factors too) Visualize everything until it starts making complete sense to you. Until the concepts and their applications are very clear.
