Girl I have to use combs! I made the mistake not getting 3 weeks of shedded hair out trying to detox from combs and brushes and just smoothing them out with my hands--my hair was a tangled mess after I washed it--my wash day was 6 hours! I got sick from standing this long and being dehydrated if it wasn’t for my husband bringing me food I would’ve been on the floor unconscious with my hair not done.😂 Your hair is gorgeous though!😍

@cactusflower_live_in_peace I’m sorry you had to go through this. Personally I think you listened to your hair and that’s what is important. ❤ Everyone’s hair is different and so is our hair journey but our hair and body will always speak to us if we will only listen.

Yes, I do detangle but only with my fingers as you see me do in the video but I never use combs.

Hey Jacqueline, here's one tip to help with your natural hair journey. "Listen to your hair." in other words, do what your hair likes and if that's detangling...go right ahead. That being said, you can detangle in a way that causes minimal breakage by first detangling with your hands to remove tangles and further going in with a wide tooth comb. hope this helps. Ps: let me know if you'd want to see a detailed tutorial on detangling 4c hair by hitting the like button.

So u don't comb or brush it out

  • @richloveOs

That’s right Jacqueline. I only go in with a comb when stretching or when a particular style am trying to do demands it, like say a cornrow, braids etc. which I rarely do anyways. So for the most part it’s my fingers doing all the work😂 I NEVER BRUSH my hair though.
