“You Are the Man!” - Part One
Externally, King David’s attempt to cover up Uriah’s murder appeared successful-but the Lord saw it and was displeased. In His mercy, God sent His servant Nathan to confront the king. Exposed by God’s word, David confessed his sin and received the Lord’s pardon. While the consequences of the king’s sin would still be devastating for his family and dynasty, Alistair Begg reminds us that the same scandalous grace God gave David is on offer to us through Christ, who died for us.

I'm not surprised to find this comment section in silence. This shoots like an arrow into the hearts of all of us, for we've all been guilty of setting aside, ignoring what we know our Lord would have us do in a situation, but decided to act contrary to His truth. My prayer is that I'll always feel my conscience condemn me when I'm being unfaithful to the grace of God, His redemption of my rebellious life. We need to allow Him to shut our mouths and open our hearts. Thank you for your faithfulness to the message, Pastor. It wasn't pleasant, but it is edifying.

Amen dear sister 🙏🏽 I pray more churches will teach truth that exposes our hearts ♥️
The Holy Sprit pricks my concience, and each time I repent God's grace of salvation bears my sin through my Lord Jesus Christ, and I am humbled in his presence.
Thank you Lord Jesus for Salvation. Amazing how sin can drag a man such as David in the horrible mud. We can't never trust Self, but always abide with Jesus.

Amen, 💯 true.
God truly is merciful, I cannot count the times I've sinned against Him. I've grown by His grace to trust in Him alone. I used to trust myself way too much and when I would sin I would be surprised, now I understand I need to walk by the Spirit and I will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. I have victory in Jesus by His grace alone. I too struggled with sexual sin just as David.
I feel such revulsion for David, pity for Uriah and suspicion toward Bathsheba. Yet at the same moment I know in my heart - if David a faithful servant of God could fall to this wickedness, I certainly could too, far more easily. Uncomfortable acknowledgments .
Amazing grace, such amazing grace. Thank you Lord God for Your word.
Makes you think of one's self! Great sermon.
Every time I have a chance to listen to Alistair's sermons, I'm blessed with God's divine gospel and his Holy Spirit. I appreciate Alistair's focus on the word and his ability to interpret the gospel so gracefully. It is a blessing to hear Alistair transmit God's Holy Spirit and divine lessons.
We can't know and be reminded of GOD'S great love, mercy and grace without shattering us deep inside into tears. O our glorious GOD!!
thank you for this message. I have been listening to all the messages on I and 2 Samuel. It has been a tremendous blessing to me, and I have learned so much. Thank you for your ministry.
It is true that there are some things we do may not be undone and it may never leave us. We are forgiven but the consequences stay forever. Thankfully God provided a way to be delivered and do not have to dwell daily on the past.
===A SINNER SAVED BY GRACE====> 💘 🙌🙏🙌

I thank God for his mercy and grace to me, a sinner. What will He do with me? Shall not the Lord of all the earth do right?
Your accent is wonderful to hear. God is in every country and every heart. But, what is more wonderful to hear is Gods word which is given in truth thru a humble heart.
