He's a great fit for a high evo deck, the lockdown Evo deck can seal off a lane with Storm/Jugg and/or Prof X, meaning you've taken the guesswork out of where to play Alioth as you just need him to confirm one of the remaining lanes

Could adding Maw in somehow to help with priority be useful?

loving this deck! only thing i changed was swapping out sandman for mr. negative. sandman seemed too clunky at 5 power with the rest of the deck and you don’t really have a turn 4 play, and it discounts at least two cards and gives them a slight buff, like dino, zola, leader and to a lesser degree alioth and doom. there’s not a lot of downside since the other cards will cap at 6/6, like odin and galactus

@@simon3162 it’s been working pretty well! climbed about ~25 ranks so far. i don’t really play mr. negative too often, but he can absolutely come in clutch and won me games with turn 6 dino/zola when galactus gets shut out

Just won 8 cubes in infinite (opponent snapped 1st lol) w this against Loki. I played gal t5 into Luke’s bar, t6 leader’d my own alioth to seal the win 🤣🤣

​​@@vivapr6136 I hit infinite with a similar deck from 89 to 100 in 2 hours. 1, 2 and 8 cubers are not that common. 4s are though... Very much so. You might say you don't get caught... You might not... But many do 😁

We need a card that always gives you priority (opposite to ghost)

Yup! Alioth will take up your entire 6th turn only to add 5 power to a single lane and secure it. Loki, if played correctly and they get Quinjet out first, can attack all 3 lanes pretty much. Alioth may secure a lane most of the time, but Loki can more efficiently secure priority before turn 6 and secure more than one lane just by the amount of power they can slam down in each lane.

The Odin is stronger because it also enables a second Alioth play

Your leader copies their card, leader, and plays it right. Your new leader now copies their leader, and plays it right, etc. Once right is full, leader can't copy anything anymore so the chain reaction stops.

I used to play Snap a ton. Thought about playing again, but stupid cards like Galactus and this one remind me why I stopped.

@@marcok.1214 But she CAN work under a Cosmo. Both cards have their uses, but as long as you keep priority, play Negasonic on a non-Armored lane, you know that the first card they play there will be destroyed. And if you have priority that means the opponent has to fight for 2 lanes. So your Negasonic will most likely secure that already won lane, then you just need to use the remaining 3 energy to cap off a lane. And maybe there is a lane they can't get to or maybe you locked it down, maybe you have a Lizard and Titania. I've found Negasonic to be decent in Junk decks for this specific purpose. Alioth may be good, but he limits you to protecting only 1 lane, only adds 5 power and can be stopped by Cosmo. Negasonic gives you more leeway. So I wouldn't called her "a lot" weaker.

This version is specificity Galactus focused so I don't think so

Alioth is gonna get nerfed quick purely based on how broken his effect it. I think they'd do something like destroy the highest cost card or the last card played. Edit: though if they did decide they should increase his power imo.

alioth specifically destroys unrevealed cards too, so wouldn't work if it destroyed things based on those cards characteristics

Alioth only really broken when the galactus pop off Outside of that it require a lot more to win with him so I kinda like the card the way it is now

i have been playing a slightly different ramp deck with alioth and its really funny watching alioth destroy there win condition and them instantly retreat

Won 7-ish in a row, and then lost 30+. Extremely inconsistent.

This is not a good Alioth deck. This is a good Galactus that has Alioth in it.

@@tomekk.1889 He's referencing the title lol. It was a joke. But since the card is so new, its probably also true that people aren't using him optimally.

For people saying it’s broken….it requires you to play an early game so you keep priority. So it punishes big turn 6 plays. Yeah its strong with Galactus, but you rarely lose when the G man drops anyway.

I'm not playing Alioth at all...cause the RNG sucks in this game.

Bynx, I have a wierd Galactus deck idea. Turn 2 wolverine Turn 3 green goblin Turm 4 psylocke and forge And turn 5 galactus boosted by forge Turn 6 alioth coz why not

Alioth.... Stopped by a space doggo. Gotta be honest, Negasonic seems better because she dodges Cosmo. Costs half the amount. Yeah she gets destroyed as well, but you can account for that. If I'm being honest, out this weeks spotlight, I'm genuinely hoping for Snowguard. She seems much more up my alley. I feel like Alioth is overhyped.

This card needs to be deleted honestly. So annoying that there is just basically nothing you can do. It's worse than spiderman and they changed that. It's literally an insta win with no counter play.

Did everyone learn why the devs actually changed Spidermans ability? Does everyone realize they lied about the reason? Clearly they saw how op it was with this card. The devs are not smart or good people.

OP with this card? No. Spider-Man could have been used AGAINST this card. If thats what you meant, I apologize but the way you worded that makes it sound like Spider-Man + Alioth. Which isn't really the real issue. The real issue is that I guarantee Spider-Man was putting a stop to all Alioth plays during their own dev play testing, and if having Daredevil into Spider-Man on Turn 5 blocked a lot of turn 6 plays, they probably foresaw that Alioth wouldn't be as effective of a card. Second Dinner does not want any new card to get curb stomped like that. If anything, they'd prefer to nerf cards a month after their release when there are new cards to get people to keep playing. Its more likely that Galactus + Alioth will start to get used. But Galactus has become fairly obvious. You need to make a very weird deck that would throw people off and never make them expect a Galactus play.
