I was given a kitten by a friend ..i was healing from a terrible car accident where i had a near death experience. This kitten helped me so much heal mentally. She knew i needed her comfort. Yes, they are so special. I have one right now, Milo. He was a terrified cat. Trapped neutered and vaccinated last Sept. I offered to bring him home. Picked him up from the lady who trapped him and he is the sweetest dearest kitty❤❤❤

And yeah, mistakes I have made have definitely been on my mind again recently and I agree, not acknowledging the Shadow can cause chaos and undermine healthy forward movement in one's life. It can be a sort of crippling thing just to feel stuck in guilt. I do know I have changed a lot of that but I think the fear of that having seen that in yourself can be quite difficult to not be left with a sense of self distrust. Only thing that resonated was my 🐕 that my kid and I have had for a few years. I purposely got this dog as an emotional support for both of us. He is such a funny dog with his "hungry eyes" at times, but also very loving. We are the few in our neighborhood who have kept our dog since COVID. So many animals were returned and euthanized, and it saddens us as we are huge pet lovers. We both became more vegan so that our dog can get enough animal protein in his diet. We have had more nut butters and plant milk and smoothies to supplement our daily needs. Our dog is not really a pet...he is our family.
