FOR PEOPLE THAT CANT TURN DURING THE CANCEL (console players most likely) - A cancel works only with a full opposite input (the green area here 5:15) - If you are on console, you most likely have a cross deadzone (or circle, doesn't matter) like the one on the left. So to be able to cancel you are gonna have to aim for the green area on the bottom and top. You could still not be able to do it for 2 reasons. 1. Your controller deadzone is so high, you get rid of the green. 2. Your aerial sens is so low your car barely moves - FIXES: Decrease your controller deadzone and increase your aerial sens till you get a nice speed on your cancels Any questions you may have about cancels or ideas for other videos leave them here in the comments guys 😄

​@@Epro-hv1qi You cannot cancel sideflips, and diagonal flips are often hard to cancel because u may just be flipping a tiny bit off in the wrong direction. Front flips are just very straight forward I'll maybe do that! good idea. I'll see if other people like that part of the video as well.

so Im suing your setting rn and keep in mind im on Nintendo switch for me it just won't spin when I cancel im doing everything quite well and I just need this for Cele not shots but I just cant get that spin idk whats wrong what do I do? also when I tilt my stick to the corner it just does cancel it only cancels when I do the back not corners like idk what to do to sum it up I just cant get the yaw cause of the reasons above

Bro maktuf this has got to be one of the most important tutorials out there rn. I’m c3 and I’m hard stuck with my mechanics. My peak is a triple reset with rapid resets but I felt like training was becoming stale because it felt like all the stuff I needed to learn was just a variation of what I was already doing but I just wasn’t good enough yet. This video is something not enough freestylers are talking about and gives me something to grind towards getting better at because I always wondered what was separating the smoothness in pros movement from mine but this video makes me understand exactly what I was missing bridging the gap between diagonal flip cancels and vertical with an input after. I finally understand the inputs better now, you’re the goat

Well, tomorrow is bio exam and I learning how to flip cancel in Rocket League 😂😂😂 or at least just watching and going to try it out and learn next time I play RL. 1 hour video is really impressive. I've been saying for years there is a controller discrepancy in RL and they need to standardize some basic movements. You gotta jump through so much hoops to get mastery level. I would love a video of Maktuf playing on a new console with the best settings and seeing if it even matches. (I'm sure he could)

1 thing what a lot of people get wrong is that cross is not the default deadzone type, circle is, most pros use defaultc so circle deadzone, When u actually use cross deadzone through steam. U can do the most cancels as well just the yaw movement after is slower.

This software gives u a lot of Input lag ? i mean i've played for long time with DS4 cause i'm using Dualsense Edge and there was no driver for it for a long time BUT now there's way to play without DS4 i feel like my car is smoother but i miss the square deadzone lol

For those who may be new to freestyling or trying to up their mechanical skill: Just remember that some of these things take hundreds if not thousands of hours to truly master. you may get it down in the first 10 min or it may take you a few months (and even longer to get it down in game/under pressure). Dont get discouraged otherwise this dead comm becomes even more dead :D
