The kinsmen in the village can and will accept brideprice even when the husband refuse to or the wife can file a case in Customary Court for the prideprice to be returned thru the court. The man is not the only person to accept the return of pride price. The kinsmen in the village can and will accept brideprice even when the husband refuse to or the wife can file a case in Customary Court for the prideprice to be returned thru the court. This 1st husband is ABUSIVE and cannot force this girl to continue to marry her so she can kpai young. This is my opinion.

This is what I find strange in the whole matter, forcing a woman to remain in a marriage she definitely doesn't want to.
