The model you have is the 15.5 14 inch viewable screen not the 17 inch 15.5 viewable screen. The manufacturer sells this model in those 2 screen sizes. Do not say the manufacturer is lying about the screen size. I have read the Amazon reviews and no one is saying that they were cheated on the screen size. What are you talking about? The build quality of this portable DVD player is the same as all the other portable DVD players manufactured in 2022. In fact, the only differences between manufacturers are that some have better electronics and a better screen, and a better remote. The plastic clam shell case is basically the same for all the manufacturers, they offer different colors black, blue, red, white and purple. 1995? There were no portable DVD players in 1995. In 1995 people were still using VCRs. You come off as completely ignorant. The DVD technology is 20+ years old. The price to buy a DVD player has drastically come down. The Portable DVD Player has advanced a lot. The newest models are very lightweight compared to 5 years ago. I bought a Portable DVD Player made in 2022 that has a 19 inch screen 17 inch viewable. And it weights only 3.5 pounds. 5 years ago it would have weighted 7 pounds or more. There is a great variety of screen sizes from 5 inches to the 17 inch one I just discovered and bought. From what I have seen, the 10-inch screen size is the most popular. Most are bought for kids.
